Buccaneer Estates Reviews
My mother.Received a letter stating that she was going to be evicted if she did not get a car port or have it under contract within 7 days. We Did speak to someone in the office and said yes that was true they would evict her in seven days. We did not have the money to fix the carport in 7 days due to hurricane. My mother lost her sister, which was her caregiver and at 80 years old I had to find my mother a new place to li've tried to contact the manager's went by the office. Did everything possible to give them the titles to the home free and clear. Because of no carport, they were aware that my mom moved i spoke to Michelle and told her. They know she doesn't live there. They know that my aunt passed away and now they're evicting her which she doesn't even live there and they know this.So they have no one to evict. This park is very unmanaged, not secure the gates are wide open and have been since hurricane. They dont have money to fix? The office does not call you back. They do not help you in any way. There's no consideration or concern for anyone in that park that I have talked to. Now They are going to tarnish my mother's record of being a person who paid her rent on time for 8 years Granted, she is 81 years old, but if she ever had to go to a home or anything, it's going to hurt her immensely.I've tried to reach out to them multiple times and other numbers and cannot get a hold of anyone which they could simply just take the titles and notdo this to my mom Who followed all of their rules and paid her lot rent on time every single month. They're the ones who said they were going to a evict her in 7 DAYS ! It's shameful the way they have treated her and i'm sure plenty of other people in that park. This has been a very emotional and upsetting time. I still can reach no one except an answering machine.
May 20, 2025 · Dena TomlinsonWe bought here last April, we have not had any problems with the manager! We are meeting very nice people! Coffee and roles every Monday morning. Attended our spaghetti super, which was great, they have a wonderful breakfast served monthly! The new board of directors was just voted on, and I’m very confident that things will be very good in the future! Hurricane damage is getting fixed, I’m confident that this park will be great! The Park has new manager as of two weeks ago! Hopefully the reviews about bad management will be removed! Thanks

Jun 03, 2025 · Brenda GThe park is very beautiful and the people that live there are wonderful. We met some great friends. Unfortunately, we just sold and moved out of the park because the management is so poor, so unapproachable and really do not know how to communicate professionally with other people. Most of the people leaving, and there are many, are leaving because of the poor management. We were told when we bought there and read the rules over and over, that you were permitted to rent out your home a couple of months a year if you didn't live there permanently. We rented our home out for January and February and then after speaking with Jennifer were told the exact opposite despite what the rule book says. I know many people that rent in the park, and I think it should be allowed, but Jennifer said, "this community does not allow short term rentals despite what the rule book says". We were also overcharged $1,800 on our water bill, but I won't go into the details here of what we went through to fight that (and lost). Be prepared to monitor your water bill every month, even when you aren't there, and your water is turned completely off. In six months of being a resident there, we had six boiled water alerts and just as many water main breaks. Jennifer is not prepared to handle this park and I hope for the residents and for the nice people that live there they get some educated and experienced staff on board in the near future.
Nov 02, 2023 · Cindy LewisThe property management is the worst I've ever seen. Jennifer should be fired! Extremely rude, no return calls, no help, yells at everyone. Quite honestly she is a bully! Threatens tenants there all the time. "GET A LAWYER". And in my opinion, I think it's elderly abuse what they are doing to the elderly there. Very disrespectful and constantly changing THE RULES. It's a living nightmare for the poor elderly who are on fixed incomes and being harassed like this and taking it's toll on the people there. Lot fees are constantly going up. It is not a gated secured community. Gates have been wide open for several years now. It's NOT a 55+ community. Crime going on there. The park itself needs to worry about fixing its own facilities, then harassing the elderly about their homes. I think they are screwing over most people there. Talking with the neighbors everyone is unhappy and have all had issues with this Jennifer person in the office. A horrible nightmare for my poor elderly parents. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO FIRE JENNIFER and stop bullying tenants who have been there a long time. Personally, I think they are trying to push all the elder and older homes out of there, so they can make room for newer buildings and take advantage of confiscating their homes for financial reasons. A nightmare of a place. Stay away.
