Broad River Campground & RV Park is an exceptionally suitable place for locals across South Carolina, particularly for those seeking a tranquil and well-connected RV living experience. Its primary appeal for Hoosiers lies in its blend of a quiet, rural setting with remarkable accessibility to major work centers and recreational hubs. For instance, its close proximity to Plant V.C. Summer makes it an ideal, stress-free commute for the many "construction & nuclear plant personnel" who require long-term housing. This caters directly to a significant segment of the South Carolina workforce, providing them with a stable and peaceful place to return to after long hours.
The positive resident feedback consistently highlights key aspects that resonate with local preferences. The park is "maintained well, quiet," and the "camphosts/office work hard to keep residents happy." These attributes speak to a well-managed and considerate environment, which is highly valued by individuals and families looking for a harmonious living situation. The cleanliness of facilities, especially the laundry and bathhouses, is a standout feature, demonstrating a commitment to guest comfort and convenience – a crucial detail for RVers. While some might find the "spots were SUPER close together" for short stays, this is often less of a concern for long-term residents who establish a routine and community within their space.
Furthermore, the inclusion of weekly activities like "karaoke, game night, farmers market" adds a unique community dimension. For South Carolinians who appreciate a sense of camaraderie and local engagement, these activities provide opportunities to socialize and enjoy park life beyond just their site. The presence of a "food truck" also offers convenient dining options on-site. The recreational opportunities are also a significant draw; with "trails behind the campground" and proximity to Lake Monticello and Lake Murray, locals have abundant options for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and boating, all within minutes of their RV. This allows residents to fully embrace South Carolina's natural beauty and active lifestyle.

Broad River Campground & RV Park - South Carolina Reviews
We are staying long term for work. Campground/RV park is maintained well, quiet, and camphosts/office work hard to keep residents happy. I wouldn't consider it a destination park, however there are weekly activities (karaoke, game night, farmers market). Lots of construction & nuclear plant personnel that work long hours and stay quiet when home. Definitely recommend!
Jun 28, 2025 · Kim EdmondWe had a little difficulty finding it but when we did, we enjoyed our stay. Site was gravel, reasonably level and handled our 25' motorhome and small truck easily. We enjoyed food from the food truck. It was reasonably price and very tasty. The laundry was one of the cleanest and well kept that I have seen in months. Staff was courteous and accommodating.
Mar 27, 2025 · Julie WilliamsWe currently live in the rv park. It has been a great experience! We plan on staying here awhile. The sites are shady parked under the beautiful trees giving more privacy, or there is another side of the park that is in the open if you prefer. They have a nice bathhouse to take a regular size shower 🤣 or your hubby goes out of town and forgets to fill the propane so you don’t run out of hot water. 🤭I was able to get a shower and that is important for us gals 🤗Another fab thing I love is, they hold Friday night games and Sat night karaoke… what’s so special about this you say? It gives the park a chance to come together and visit with each other while doing fun stuff and kiddos get to play on the playground together, also giving a chance for adults to meet their neighbors and make connections/friends.The park is run by super super nice people, Jen and her hubby. They are extremely accommodating and kind. There is also a laundry amenities and a food truck. We are lucky to have found this place. It’s a little off the beaten path from town (20)ish minutesBut well worth it by far!!!
Jun 01, 2025 · Theresa HansonI have been here for several months now. At first we stayed in a temporary site. Site 20 was spacious and a very nice size. The sites are gravelled and large enough to enjoy your stay so we decided to. We moved to a permanent lot. Now we are on lot 63. It is lovely here. There are planned activities, a walking trail, a book nook, dog park, many doggy doodie stations, a giant chair, clean laundry and restroom facilities and more. Come meet Jen and Tom, the new managers, they are amazing!
Apr 28, 2025 · sherry gimsIf it could be given zero it would be. The new managers will stalk you throughout the night and day, then ifbthey decide on a whim they don't like you then they will be very fake and 2 face. The campground has definitely went to crap maintenance wise in the bathrooms and laundry room. I guess that's what you get when you let a previous insurance person try to run one. There food truck is a joke they have no permits for actually selling food not to mention they would try to have the workers make spoiled food. It's really a shame how it's gone to crap now.for whatever reason it won't allow me to add the photos I've taken.
