It's truly a place built with the rider in mind, making it an excellent base for your next Kentucky outdoor escapade.
Nestled at 685 Briery Creek Road, this RV park positions itself as a prime spot for those eager to hit the trails. What truly sets Briery Creek RV Park apart for local users is its direct and advantageous location relative to popular off-roading areas, notably the vast network associated with 1806 Adventures. As a newer establishment, Briery Creek RV Park is characterized by its dedication to growth and improvement. The owners are known for their respectful and friendly demeanor, actively working to refine the amenities and overall experience for their guests. This forward-thinking approach means that while you might find a more rustic feel in some areas, you're also investing in a business committed to serving the Kentucky outdoor community better with each passing day.
While some might encounter the natural challenges of a developing outdoor space – like the occasional tall grass or gravel roads – the overwhelming sentiment from repeat visitors points to a highly enjoyable stay thanks to the prime location and the genuine hospitality of the owners. It’s a place where the focus is firmly on providing a solid launchpad for your adventures rather than a pampered resort experience. Whether you’re looking for a full-hookup site to bring the comforts of home on the road or prefer a more primitive camping spot under the Kentucky stars, Briery Creek RV Park aims to accommodate. Its burgeoning reputation among the ATV community in Kentucky underscores its suitability for locals seeking thrilling rides by day and a friendly, developing home base by night.
Location and Accessibility
Briery Creek RV Park is strategically located at 685 Briery Creek Rd, Vanceburg, KY 41179, USA. This address places it firmly within the scenic, rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky, an area increasingly recognized for its robust outdoor recreational opportunities, particularly off-road vehicle (ORV) riding. Vanceburg, a small city in Lewis County, serves as a gateway to this rugged and beautiful region, offering a quintessential rural Kentucky experience.
For Kentuckians, accessing Briery Creek RV Park typically involves a drive through picturesque country roads. While some local reviews mention that the road leading into the park is gravel and may have potholes, indicating a slower approach, this is often characteristic of areas that lead to prime outdoor adventure spots. This minor inconvenience is generally accepted by visitors given the payoff in terms of trail access. The RV park's location is touted as "a great location for riding the ATV trails," and specifically noted for its proximity to "1806 Adventures," a major draw for off-road enthusiasts in the region. The 1806 Adventures check-in office on Briery Creek Road is reportedly just 2 miles off Highway 377, suggesting that Briery Creek RV Park is very close to these primary access points.
The park's setting offers a balance of immersion in nature and convenient access to the trail systems. While Vanceburg itself offers basic amenities like gas, groceries, and local eateries, larger towns are within a reasonable driving distance for more extensive supplies. The direct link to popular ATV trails means that once you've arrived and set up, your primary form of transportation for exploration can often be your off-road vehicle itself. This direct access to an extensive network of trails, often within the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, makes Briery Creek RV Park an ideal and highly accessible hub for Kentuckians eager to explore the state's natural terrain on their ATVs or UTVs.

- Mowed Lots: The owners actively maintain the grounds, with lots reportedly "mowed weekly." While one review mentioned tall grass, the owners' commitment to regular mowing suggests this is an addressed issue.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: While reviews mention wandering neighborhood animals, the ability to bring pets is a strong indication that the park is pet-friendly, with the usual expectation that owners manage their animals responsibly within their sites.

Briery Creek RV Park Reviews
Camp lot is in a great location for riding the ATV trails. The owners are respectful and very friendly. This is a new business and improvements are being made daily to make the experience even better. The bad reviews on here is from people who have nothing better to do with their time and have caused problems in the area with other business owners. And the grass being a foot tall is a little far fetched in my opinion. The lot is mowed weekly. And people can’t control neighborhood animals. Before you judge please experience this location for yourself. You will not be disappointed!!
May 20, 2025 · Tammy RickettThe reason for 4 stars is that the location for 1806 Adventures couldn’t be better and our group had a fun trip. However $40/night for primitive camping (no electric or sewer) in a field where I had to mow my own site as the grass was about a foot tall (it was tall as hell) was a bit steep in my opinion. I had to cut the grass due to ticks crawling on the kids.I’ve been camping from coast to coast in the US and that’s a bit over priced. No cell service for Verizon. WiFi available upon request. Couldn’t let my dogs out much because there were wandering dogs from the surrounding properties and a cat.The road in is gravel and has lots of potholes so it’s a slow go. I’m hopeful that some of these issues get addressed because we enjoyed riding there and will return.
