Beach Express RV Park Introduce
For Alabamians considering RV living or seeking a convenient stop near the Gulf Coast, navigating the various RV parks available can be a crucial part of the decision-making process. Beach Express RV Park in Foley, Alabama, is one such option that may appear in your search. As with any lodging choice, understanding both its strengths and potential drawbacks, as reported by other travelers, is key to determining its suitability for your needs.
This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of Beach Express RV Park, drawing directly from available public information and customer reviews. We will explore its location, list its reported services, and highlight features that have been both praised and criticized. Our goal is to offer a balanced perspective, allowing local users in Alabama to form their own informed opinions about this RV park in the Foley area.
Beach Express RV Park is located at 22225 US-98, Foley, AL 36535, USA. This address places it directly on US Highway 98, a major artery in Foley, Alabama. Foley itself is a growing city in Baldwin County, known as a gateway to the popular Alabama Gulf Coast destinations of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Its position on US-98 means it's generally accessible for RVs traveling through the area.
The park's accessibility benefits from its direct frontage on US-98, providing straightforward access for incoming and outgoing RV traffic. For residents and visitors, this means relatively easy access to local amenities within Foley, which include grocery stores, various dining options, and shopping centers like the Tanger Outlets. The city of Foley also boasts attractions such as OWA Parks & Resort, a significant entertainment complex with a theme park, water park, and various dining and retail options. While the park is on a major highway, some reviews indicate it's still "really peaceful" with no road noise, suggesting a potential buffer from heavy traffic sounds.
However, one review noted that the "road is ugly especially when it rains not safe for children to walk on its a hazard." This suggests that while vehicular access might be easy, pedestrian safety and comfort, particularly for children, along the immediate roadside might be a concern, indicating that relying on a vehicle for access to nearby establishments might be necessary. Despite this, its location serves as a practical base for exploring the vibrant Gulf Coast area, with its beautiful beaches and numerous recreational opportunities just a short drive away.
Beach Express RV Park offers a range of fundamental services designed to cater to RV travelers. Based on available public data and conflicting customer reviews, here’s an overview of what the park generally provides:
- Full Hookup Sites: The park offers 54 full hookup sites, including connections for 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer. These sites can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet in length and accept big rigs.
- Laundry Facilities: On-site "laundry" facilities are available for guest use. However, one negative review claimed the restrooms (which often include laundry facilities in smaller parks) "dont get cleaned they back up with sewer water," suggesting potential issues with maintenance. Conversely, a positive review stated, "The bathrooms and lounge are really clean and well kept."
- Restrooms and Showers: Public "toilets" and "showers" are listed as amenities. As noted above, there are conflicting reports on the cleanliness and functionality of these facilities.
- Wi-Fi: "Free Wi-Fi" is available, which guests can connect to directly from their RVs.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: The park is "Pet friendly" (though guests should "call for restrictions/fees"), and includes a "Small fenced-in dog play area" or "fenced play area designed specifically for dogs."
- Handicap Accessibility: The park provides a "Handicap accessible ramp to the deck, office, showers, and restrooms," along with a "handicapped bathroom and shower."
- Recreation Area: A "recreation area" with "badminton equipment, horseshoe pits, and a bean bag game" is available.
- On-site Office/Deck: The park features an office and a "Large deck with plenty of space to sit back and relax."
The stark contrast in reviews regarding the cleanliness and safety of the facilities underscores the importance of direct inquiry and personal inspection for prospective guests.
Beach Express RV Park presents a mixed picture regarding its features and highlights, as reflected in contrasting customer reviews:
- Management Friendliness and Helpfulness: A significant highlight is the park's management, described as "super friendly, helpful, and really go out of their way to make sure guest's needs are met." This positive interaction with staff is a strong point for the park, indicating good customer service.
- Cleanliness (Contested): One review highly praises the "bathrooms and lounge are really clean and well kept," even noting the "super soft" toilet paper, giving a "5 stars.10/10" rating. This suggests that at least some guests have experienced very clean facilities.
- Peaceful Atmosphere: Despite being on a highway, some guests describe the park as "really peaceful" with "no road noise," which is a desirable feature for a relaxing stay.
- Community Among Long-Term Guests: There's mention of a "nice little community among the long-term guests," suggesting a welcoming atmosphere for those staying for extended periods.
- Pet-Friendly Amenities: The "fenced-in dog play area" is a definite highlight for travelers with pets, providing a dedicated space for their animals.
However, it is crucial to present the conflicting information regarding potential serious issues:
- Health and Safety Concerns: One highly negative review alleges that "restrooms dont get cleaned they back up with sewer water and thats a hazard! health department should be contacting them!" This raises significant concerns about hygiene and safety, explicitly stating, "I wouldnt sugest this place on my worst enemy!"
- Road Safety: The "ugly" and "not safe for children to walk on" road condition is a notable negative feature for families.
- Management Conduct (Contested): While one review praises management, another claims "management walks around opening peoples doors and windows!" and that "people getting kicked out for speaking up on how the place is garbage!" These are very serious accusations, suggesting potential privacy violations and retaliatory behavior.
Due to these extremely divergent accounts, potential visitors should proceed with caution and conduct thorough personal investigation.

Beach Express RV Park in Foley presents a complex picture for locals in Alabama seeking an RV park. On one hand, it offers a convenient location on US-98 with easy access to Foley amenities and the Gulf Coast beaches, full hookups, Wi-Fi, and a dedicated dog area. Some residents report a "peaceful" environment, clean facilities, and praise the management as "super friendly, helpful, and really go out of their way." This suggests that for some, it provides a very positive and comfortable experience, particularly for long-term guests who find a "nice little community."
However, it is absolutely crucial for prospective Alabamian guests to be aware of and investigate the extremely serious allegations found in other reviews. Concerns about unsafe road conditions for pedestrians, severe cleanliness issues in restrooms involving "sewer water," and accusations of management entering private RVs and retaliating against guests for expressing concerns are alarming. These conflicting accounts create a significant dilemma for anyone considering a stay. While the positive aspects highlight good customer service and functional basic amenities for some, the negative reviews point to potential health hazards and concerning management practices that would make the park unsuitable for many. Therefore, while it might offer convenience and a friendly community for some, locals should exercise extreme caution, personally inspect the facilities thoroughly, and verify all aspects of their potential stay before making a commitment to Beach Express RV Park.

Feb 02, 2024 · Nicholas MaganaManagement is super friendly, helpful, and really go out of their way to make sure guest's needs are met. The bathrooms and lounge are really clean and we'll kept. Its also really peaceful and there is a nice little community among the long-term guests. Also the toilet paper they put in the bathrooms is super soft.5 stars.10/10.
Apr 14, 2021 · Lydia MagouirkThe folks who run it are very nice and will go the extra mile for their guests. That's what impressed me most about this place so far. I didn't give 5 stars (although I wanted to), but the bathrooms need a good cleaning and the WiFi signal doesn't reach down as far as our sight. I haven't used the other amenities here so I can't say much more about it. They are great people though.
Jun 21, 2022 · Alan CarnrikeWe needed a place to stay near Gulf Shores and fortunately there was a space for our 40' motor home in this quiet well run park. It is a little older, but the facilities have been updated and they are very clean and nice. The owners and managers are extremely friendly and helpful. We would give it 5 stars, but the neighborhood is a little shabby. We will definitely stay here again.
Mar 01, 2018 · Gregory MillerThis was our first time taking our camper anywhere. Could not be more pleased. VERY courteous staff. They were patient while we asked a ton of questions. The park is very clean and well maintained. Bath house is clean. Which is very important to me. Our camper shower is very small. The showers get extensive cleaning once a day and periodic pickup cleaning throughout the day. If you’re looking for a quiet place to park your camper so you can spend time outside and enjoy the area, this is the place to go.
