Barefoot RV Resort Reviews
We have stayed here before a few years ago and they have expanded since then including adding another pool and lazy river. Close enough to all the places you want to go but not in the middle of all the chaos on ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. Walkable to the beach access for some people but a straight shot across 17 and about a minute ride by golf cart or car with ample public parking. Only one gated entrance so no worries about outside people driving through. 3 nice boathouses that I personally think is the best setup: you walk into a room that has your toilet and shower area, not just an open room with multiple showers and toilets.
Jun 26, 2025 · Mike NortonWe absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was our first time and we are definitely planning to come back. Sites are spacious, clean, and the picnic tables are very nice. Laundromat and bathhouse were always spotless. We came with 2 small kids and they had a blast! The lazy river and waterpark were a bit hit. They also enjoyed watching some planes take off from the small airport next to the resort. Beach was 1/2 a mile away with public parking (paid) so that was convenient as well. Definitely recommend this RV resort!
Jun 10, 2025 · Kristina KolosovWe have stayed at several campgrounds in the MB area, and NONE compare to Barefoot RV Resort! We have stayed there several times, and already have another trip booked this summer. We love staying with concrete pads, and the spots are roomy and clean. They staff is constantly cleaning and keeping the park maintained - which is a huge PLUS for us! The bathhouses are immaculate, which is not the case at other campgrounds in the area. The resort is very quiet as well. NEVER had an issue with anything here. We loved the pool and lazy river, too! Close enough to the beach to ride your golf cart, and can ride it to local restaurants nearby as well! We LOVE camping here!
Jun 01, 2025 · Katelyn BurnetteHave been vacationing at Barefoot RV Resort multiple times per year for 4 years. The location is perfect for all your activities. The RV sites are always clean and well maintained. All the facilities are exceptional and well maintained. The staff is outstanding and Barefoot RV resort has become our favorite place to vacation!
Jun 21, 2025 · Mary Beth ElliottOur stay at Barefoot RV resort was peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was clean, had good natural lighting, a nice back patio, and a pleasant sitting area. The bathroom was also very nice and well-kept.However, there were a few disappointments. The rooms were much smaller than they appeared in the photos online. The pictures, especially of the upstairs area, were misleading. The upstairs room had such a low ceiling that you literally had to crawl to get to it. The main bedroom downstairs was so tight that there wasn’t enough space to comfortably open a suitcase. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for sleeping. We also had an issue with the AC unit in the master bedroom, it had visible mold inside, which was concerning.Additionally, before booking, we called to confirm whether they offered a military discount and were told that they did. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the discount did not apply to the cottages. That felt misleading and disappointing. The location itself is great, about a 10-minute walk to the beach, or you can drive or rent a golf cart. The area is well-situated with lots of restaurants, activities, and the Barefoot Landing Boardwalk nearby, which has a great vibe. This is my experience as someone who doesn’t have an RV and doesn’t usually stay at RV campgrounds, so expectations may vary depending on your travel style.Overall not bad, I would come again now that I know what to expect.
