Despite these minor navigational considerations, the overall accessibility to and from the park remains a significant advantage for those looking to explore the Florida Panhandle. The proximity to the freeway is a definite plus for easy travel, with the added benefit that noise from the highway is reportedly not a significant issue, allowing for a peaceful stay.

Avalon Landing RV Park Pensacola Reviews
it’s kinda funky cause you check in off one street then had to pull out and over to another road to get to our spot. Not the most big rig friendly place, lots of tight turns.the office wouldn’t have known our back in spot (#43) was pretty on the canal but we stayed in the only spot with tree’s and couldn’t use our toy hauler patio.the best part was that even tho you’re close to the freeway it’s not too noisy.
Mar 04, 2025 · Andee PhillipsWe had been looking forward to coming here for over a year, finally had the chance. Check in was ok, no gates for baby or pups. OK, we can work with this. I asked about a screen room and it was told to me it is ok. My son made it with his wife and kids too and got set up. LOVE the water view from the site, calm and relaxing.Saturday, sunny and grandson was outside so decided to put up screen room and run fan to keep him cool and shaded. They told me at check in be careful with them because it is windy, ok tied it down. Enjoyed the day. Friends came to have Tacos and Enchiladas with us for dinner. As serving dinner inside some older woman came just walking onto the campsite and asked who’s RV. I said mine, she started in on this (pointing at screen room) is not allowed and it was in the paperwork to not have them. I asked who she was and she started in about she works here. OK, Why not introduce yourself and say the screen room is not the type that is allowed. I would have asked what type is and they could have said so. THEN she started in on my guests not registered and we have to move all these cars to the red dirt road and go pay for the guests? I told her we were told to park here as they are OUR cars she’s pointing to. The 2 trucks of our dinner guests we can move, she said “only 2?” I said yes and they are only here to join us for tacos. Nobody is staying. Then she asked where we are getting tacos??? I am making them inside. Well then they dont have to move the vehicles and she left.Next thing I know the old guy that was in the check in house was behind my RV blowing up at my guests and son about the screen room. Of course I came out and he said we got in the woman’s face. All 8 of us informed him nobody got in her face but she started just yelling at us from the minute she walked on our site. I told him the lady that checked me in said the screen room was fine. He said he was there at check in and they did not. After arguing with me when I said I would take it down he clarified a screen room attaches to the awning. I told him I was not aware a bought screen room was not a screen room that was approved. I also told him he could have nicely came over and told us that the type of screen room they were referring to was attached to the awning. He continued on saying he is just doing what his boss told him to do. My son then asked for the owners information. He then changed his story to he is one of the owners. (Which is it, doing what boss said or he’s owner?).I started taking down screen room then my 13 year old informed me that she was the person following her around asking where her camper is and where she belongs. My granddaughter refused to give her information having no clue who this person is just following her around. Nobody should just follow a child around without being polite and introducing herself so the guests do not feel unsafe. Smart girl to not give info to someone she doesn’t know. So, I took down the screen room, had dinner and now understand why the campground is ALMOST EMPTY ALL the time. One guy said this was the most he’s seen here in 4 months. Saturday at a campground in Florida and this is a pic of how full it is. If there is this much vacancy there is a reason. ESPECIALLY if it is located on the water! Vacancies speak for themselves. You should not treat guests like that. Mutual respect goes a long way.We camp in groups of 4 RV’s per campground and wouldn’t send anyone here. Losing business right and left. Read the other reviews talking of how rude they are.
Apr 13, 2025 · Jay GearhartQuiet, pleasant, with helpful staff, a great waterfront view, and constant smiles. This was our first ever “camp site”, and we are so glad we stopped here! Thank you for doing what you love! It shows! (44’ motor coach fit comfortably)
Dec 25, 2024 · Imagination CardsWhen we arrived the site we reserved was not long enough for our rig. There was a pull through site across from us so we moved there for the night. I went to the office the morning and was told that I had been listed as a no show. He told me that I couldn’t just park on any site. We was very rude. He said I would have to talk to the manager. When we spoke with the manager she told me if I wanted the pull through I would have to pay for 2 sites. I called all the other area campgrounds and no one had any sites. This campground had close to 25% of the sites were empty. Don’t bother going there. The staff was rude and the sites are not good. The pics of the park are nothing like it looks now. I have attached pics to see the spots and the area. If I owned the park I would want to know why they have sites and others do not.
Feb 10, 2025 · Jeff WygulSuch a wonderful place to stay! We chose here, with a waterfront view, to use as our "base camp" for several days of sight seeing. Easy location and just far enough away from beaches and attractions to avoid the craziness around them. Great level pads (gravel with concrete patio area), good water pressure, and an amazing view. Staff was wonderful with providing local information and rout suggestions. The Naval Air Museum (25 minutes away) was absolutely fantastic. Also easy to get to the Fort Pickens and the Gulf Island National Seashore - a treasure to see for sure.We stayed here in a 40ft motor home for three nights.
