Aug 17, 2023 · Jillene HarmonSo far nice choice. Well it took a turn . Hurricane Beryl came we where ask to evacuate by noon Sunday or the owner would fine us. We had just paid rent and we have a 100 elect deposit. If offered another park that was basically in an open field with no water, power and in the grass . We moved our Rv to a great park in Oyster creek and was allowed to park our ŕig and pay when the park got power. It help us out greatly. I in turn called the Mgr and finnaly the owner Paris who also owns the 2 Surfside markets and Both Austin landing 3 and 4, he also owns more parks as well he building a new Meat market across from circle K. Bottom line . He will not give a refund and then stated if we came back would be charged a 250 additional deposit. I am on SSI. I would suggest any body looking for a Rv park stay away from all this Man Paris owns and operates he is not about fairness he is about the all mighty dollar and will do anything to get it. Not a good or fair owner or human being taking advantage of folks thinking we have no recourse. Ty to the great folks in Surfside for there help in spreading this owner and bow he runs his business.
Jul 13, 2024 · James CrowleyThank you to the owner Mr Paris my family was vacationing during hurricane beryl and was told to evacuate the island and he gave them permission to go to another park where it was safer and we even got a extra day just to be together as a family thank sir I know you are a God fearing man you have a wonderful heart I pray you and your family were safe and thank you for making my family a priority
Jul 14, 2024 · Brandi ChavezDespite my 3/5 star rating, this is actually a nice park but it could use some improvements. It is in a great location, and the staff seem to be friendly and responsive. I visited twice, with a third trip upcoming, so obviously I like it. People complain about the long term folks, they all seemed nice to me.So where do they go wrong? Mostly in the site maintenance and aesthetic. Apparently their water isn't potable or even drinkable, and they don't make that obvious or tell you that when you check in but it is mentioned on their website if you know where to look. Both sites I stayed at had different issues with the electric, thankfully I have adapters and surge protection. The sites themselves are in okay shape, but the areas adjoining them including the driving surfaces are in pretty bad shape with potholes, puddles, and muddy areas that could easily be corrected across the park with a couple tons of fine gravel. During my stay, they also randomly decided to turn off the water for maintenance without any warning, updates, or communication. When you visit this fine park, just set your expectations correctly and you'll have a great time. It really is a nice place, just needs some upkeep. For Surfside in general it is pretty good. If you want a "nicer" place, you have to go all the way to Bluewater down the highway, which is 15 minutes farther from Lake Jackson and civilization in general.
