Andersens Oceanside RV Park & Cottages Introduce
Welcome to **Andersens Oceanside RV Park & Cottages**, a premier destination for travelers looking to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Washington Coast. Located directly on the famous Long Beach Peninsula, Andersens offers more than just a place to park your RV; it provides a comprehensive coastal getaway. For over 45 years, this family-owned and operated park has offered visitors a chance to relax by the Pacific, combining the convenience of modern facilities with the serene natural environment Washington is famous for.
Andersens Oceanside RV Park & Cottages is categorized as a full-service **RV park** and also features comfortable **Cottages** for rent, catering to a wide range of visitors from those traveling in big rigs to families seeking a cozy, home-like beach rental. The park is situated on a stunning 7-acre oceanfront property, providing residents and guests with a truly unique setting where the sound of the surf is a constant companion.
The Long Beach Peninsula itself is one of Washington’s most popular vacation areas, known for its continuous, 28-mile stretch of sandy coastline—claimed to be the longest drivable beach in the world. Visitors come here for the world-class clamming, the annual Washington State International Kite Festival, the historic lighthouses at Cape Disappointment, and the general atmosphere of a quintessential Pacific Northwest beach town. Staying at Andersens places you right in the heart of this vibrant, yet peaceful, coastal life.
It is important for prospective guests to note that this is a highly managed property, focused on providing a quality, secure, and well-maintained experience for registered guests. This includes clear rules on occupancy, vehicles, and visitors, which help maintain the peaceful and clean environment noted by many reviewers. While some former guests have expressed concern over the strict enforcement of policies—particularly regarding visitor and extra vehicle fees—this strictness is the mechanism by which the park ensures an orderly, quiet, and safe environment for all who choose to stay.
One consistent positive theme from resident reviews is the quality of the staff and facilities. A reviewer noted, "Miles is a great host and both helpful and friendly," and another praised the "Very modern facilities, and hookups are well-placed for any RV." This indicates a high level of dedication to customer service and facility upkeep, which is essential for a comfortable vacation experience on the Washington coast.

### Location and Accessibility
Andersens Oceanside RV Park & Cottages boasts an exceptional location at **1400 138th St, Long Beach, WA 98631, USA**, placing it approximately 3.5 miles north of the main town of Long Beach. This placement is ideal because it keeps the park "quietly situated," away from the central commercial traffic, while still being close enough to enjoy all the towns both north and south along the peninsula.
**Direct Beach Access** is perhaps the most valuable feature of the location. The park features a private path that leads directly down through the dunes to the sandy shore. This quick and easy walk means guests are just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, allowing for spontaneous beach walks, sunset viewing, and exploration without the hassle of driving and finding public parking.
In terms of regional access, the Long Beach Peninsula is easily accessible from major metropolitan areas in the Pacific Northwest. It is a popular road trip destination, just a few hours' drive from Portland, Oregon, and a manageable distance from Seattle, Washington. The park’s address in Long Beach places it near iconic local attractions such as Cape Disappointment State Park, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, and various clamming spots.
The park is also designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a **Wheelchair accessible entrance** and a **Wheelchair accessible parking lot**, which demonstrates a commitment to accommodating all guests and ensuring easy access to the main office and facilities. On-site parking is available, though guests should be aware of the two-vehicle maximum per site, and the associated fees for any extra vehicles.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1UPDATE:Our relatives ended up finding a spot at CEDAR and SURF in Ocean Park and it was absolutely wonderful! My former co-workers parents owned it for many years and the new owners are doing a wonderful job. Close to the beach and much better accommodations than Andersens. We all had a delicious dinner and visit and our company extended their stay at Cedar and Surf because they were so accommodating. Cedar and Surf will get my vote for the place to stay on the Long Beach Peninsula! We have a home in Ocean Park and have had vacation property since the 1970's. We had relatives visiting from California that have reservations this weekend. They decided to have a small dinner at their site this evening with 6 guests and were told when they checked in that each guest and each vehicle has a charge of $5 and maximum guests are 6.Today they went to pay the woman running the campground and were told because it was the 4th of July weekend they couldn't have guests even though dinner was on Thursday the 3rd. The woman was completely rude and when the guests said they have never been spoken to so rudely the woman immediately kicked them out and said they had one hour to get out or she was calling the police. My mother who is 83 years old with physical limitations tried to stop in yesterday and say hi to our company before she knew about the $5 per vehicle and $5 per guest rule. She pulled in and started to look for their site number and immediately this rude woman came to my mom's truck window and started telling her she couldn't come in without the registration at the office. My mom said she was just driving through and wasn't staying and had never heard of anything like this and the woman said it’s standard now.Anyway just a nasty nasty person that had an attitude from the start. I would not recommend staying at this park.
July 08 · Marlene DentonAn excellent RV park that has a private path directly down to the beach. Very modern facilities, and hookups are well-placed for any RV.Miles is a great host and both helpful and friendly. The park is very well kept, has good, clean water, and a small playground for the kids.Wildlife, AKA, the bunnies, seem to own the place. All different kinds of colors in their little pack.Definitely would come again. Was told their WiFi was just upgraded. It is very fast but not very reliable, constantly dropping the signal. Was told this is due to others using Starlink and it is why their signal get screwed up. NOT likely, more likely is that the router is programmed to limit bandwidth for the address that it assigned to your connection. If Starlink could do what they say, we would always have the problem whenever we were near someone who uses the satellite link...
September 07 · Bob ROBERTSMaybe the most private, spacious RV camp on the peninsula. Perfect access to the Beach. No restrooms or showers which is the only drawback, but a big one in my book. MGMT told me there are plenty of other RV options if you want those amenities.
July 29 · Ron HardingThe only good thing is the location camping spots are way to close the rules are dumb. If you have dogs you can’t set up a small fenced off area(such a hassle to leash them up to go potty everytime). They drive past every site every hour of the day. Very strict place.. we have no access to public showers great distance from the beach tho
July 04 · Kenzie HullWe got the forest site which was perfect! Gives plenty of shade, a nice view and everyone was so welcoming. Thanks and we can’t wait to come back!
