Woods of Eden Glampground boasts an enviable location at 12 Seabury Dr, Bar Harbor, ME 04609, USA. This address places it perfectly for exploring one of Maine's most iconic and beautiful regions: Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park and the vibrant town of Bar Harbor.
The accessibility of Woods of Eden is a significant advantage for campers. It is strategically positioned just a short drive from both downtown Bar Harbor and the entrances to Acadia National Park. Specifically, it's noted as being "4 miles from Acadia N.P." and "6 miles away" from downtown Bar Harbor. This means guests can easily spend their days hiking, biking, or sight-seeing within the National Park, then effortlessly transition to enjoying the shops, restaurants, and whale watching tours in Bar Harbor. The convenience of this location minimizes travel time, maximizing opportunities for relaxation and adventure.
The glampground is nestled on "over 24 acres of woods," providing a sense of seclusion and natural immersion despite its proximity to popular attractions. This balance of feeling "far enough away from the main parking area and road so it was quiet" while still being "close enough where we could easily walk our bags in" is a key aspect of its appeal. The natural setting means guests can feel the "ocean breezes and shade of the woods," contributing to comfortable sleeping during summer nights.
For those traveling by car, Seabury Drive offers straightforward access. The glampground also offers free on-site self-parking, further enhancing convenience for guests arriving with vehicles. Its location ensures that all the wonders of Mount Desert Island are within easy reach, making it an ideal base for a memorable Maine vacation.

This allows for easy day trips to hiking trails, coastal vistas, and the vibrant town amenities.
- Privacy within a Community Setting: Each tent is "situated to provide you with privacy but is still close enough to the other tents to create a sense of community." Despite being "sold out," guests have noted a "quiet" and respectful atmosphere, indicating successful site planning that balances seclusion with social interaction, especially around the communal fire pit.
- Thoughtful Inclusions: The glampground goes the extra mile by providing many essentials, including "bed linens, towels, bath products and kitchen supplies." The provision of a "communal fire pit with wood provided for free" is a significant convenience and encourages social interaction.

These highlights collectively create a unique and highly appealing outdoor lodging experience, bridging the gap between traditional camping and hotel stays, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a memorable and comfortable Maine adventure.
While Woods of Eden Glampground offers a premium, all-inclusive glamping experience, specific "promotions or special offers" are not widely advertised in the general public information provided. The pricing structure for glamping tends to be more akin to hotel rates, varying by tent type, season, and demand, rather than frequent promotional discounts.
However, it's always advisable for prospective guests from Maine and beyond to directly contact Woods of Eden Glampground to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential deals that might be offered. Some common types of promotions that glamping sites occasionally run, but which would need direct confirmation, include:
- Off-Season Rates: Glamping properties often have lower prices during their shoulder seasons (e.g., late spring or early fall) compared to peak summer months.
- Mid-Week Specials: Discounts might be available for stays during weekdays when demand is typically lower than on weekends.
- Extended Stay Discounts: While not explicitly mentioned as a 'promotion,' booking for a longer duration (e.g., a week) might inherently offer a better per-night rate than a shorter stay.
- Last-Minute Deals: If there are unbooked tents, management might offer special rates closer to the arrival date.
The best way to ascertain any current special offers or to discuss booking a stay is to use the provided contact information. Given the popularity of glamping and the appeal of the Bar Harbor area, booking in advance, especially for peak season, is generally recommended. Directly communicating with the glampground will ensure you receive the most accurate and up-to-date pricing and availability information.

For Maine locals, Woods of Eden Glampground offers an exceptional and highly suitable option for a memorable getaway, perfectly blending the state's beloved natural beauty with unparalleled comfort. It’s ideal for those who love the idea of camping but appreciate the conveniences and amenities of modern lodging.
One of the most compelling reasons for locals to choose Woods of Eden is its unique "glamping" concept. Many Mainers enjoy outdoor activities, but not all are keen on traditional tent camping with its associated gear and less comfortable aspects. Woods of Eden removes these barriers by providing fully furnished safari tents complete with real beds, private bathrooms with hot showers, and well-equipped kitchenettes. This means locals can enjoy the fresh air and wooded surroundings of Mount Desert Island without having to "rough it," making it accessible for a wider range of ages and comfort levels, including families with young children or multi-generational groups.
Furthermore, the glampground’s strategic location is a significant advantage. Being just a few miles from both Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor means locals can easily access their favorite hiking trails, scenic drives, and coastal activities, then quickly return to a comfortable base. This minimizes travel time and maximizes leisure, allowing for more time spent making "great memories" with friends and family, as noted by satisfied guests. The peaceful and quiet atmosphere, even when the glampground is fully booked, is a testament to its design and management, providing a truly relaxing escape from daily life.
The family-friendly features, such as the playground and ample space for kids to explore and build forts, make it particularly appealing for Maine families seeking an engaging and comfortable outdoor experience. The communal fire pit, with free wood provided, fosters a sense of community that many locals value, offering opportunities to connect with other respectful campers.
In essence, Woods of Eden Glampground is perfectly suited for Maine locals looking to embrace the outdoor lifestyle of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park with an added layer of luxury and convenience. Woods of Eden Glampground Reviews
The Deer tent location was perfect for us. Far enough away from the main parking area and road so it was quiet and close enough where we could easily walk our bags in. We really enjoyed this experience with friends and family. Made great memories. The grounds are great for kids to play hide and seek, ball, on the playground, and even build “forts” from sticks in the woods. The shared fire pit was a fun way to meet the other campers, although it seemed like we were the only ones there even tho the grounds were sold out! The groups were very respectful and quiet. We can’t wait to come back again next year.
Oct 17, 2024 · Romina TonucciOur family loved staying at Woods of Eden! We have four boys; there was plenty of room for all six of us! The location was perfect for us as we went to downtown Bar Harbor one day and Acadia the next day. We especially loved the very comfortable beds, the warm shower/nice bathroom, and waking up to the sun shining in our tent each morning. The tent had everything we needed. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Aug 21, 2024 · Ben and Korlissa HessWe had a excellent experience, got the moose tent, clean, roomy and the kids loved it. Great location, they provide everything you need.
Jun 18, 2025 · Ashraf DaradkehWe loved our stay at Woods of Eden Glampground in the Bear tent outside Acadia National Park. Coming all the way from Virginia, we wanted something rustic but easy. Our tent was very clean, plenty of space, quiet, the kids loved the bunk room and little loft and we had everything we needed including games and firewood, etc. Will definitely return whenever we might be in Maine again!
Aug 13, 2024 · Courtney BassettWe had an amazing stay at this very nice glampground! Nancy was VERY helpful and responsive. My husband, 16 year old son, adult daughter and son in law stayed here and it was just perfect! We cooked breakfasts and suppers in the kitchen. The showers NEVER ran out of hot water-even with 5 people. The glampground was so convenient to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and the rest of the island. We had such a nice quiet stay. I recently found out that our niece and her family stayed here several years ago also. Would definitely recommend this to visitors to Acadia-it was quiet, lovely, clean, convenient, and just beautiful -tucked back in the woods. We stayed at Deer tent and enjoyed everything! Thank you!
