Wisconsin Dells KOA Holiday Reviews
Spent an extended weekend stay at the dells KOA. The park is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very welcoming and accommodated us to store our cargo trailer big thank you to Oscar for accommodating us last minute and saving the day. The store was very well stocked and had all the essentials we needed. The staff gave us some great recommendations for things to do and even gave us a coupon book. The pool was small for the size of the park, however not a deal breaker. The restrooms were spotless clean. AC in the restrooms would be an added bonus. The dog run was a hit. The pups had a blast. To sum it up we would definetly be back in the fall when the park is not as crowded.
Jul 07, 2025 · EdWe have been traveling for a month now from FL to MN, and we stayed at this KOA in the Dells for 4 nights as it is close to town yet has a brand new section full of larger sites that accommodate big rigs. We have a 40’ Class A motorhome. We have a service dog with us, and I unwittingly checked the “1 Dog” box when I made the reservation. Well - their software automatically assigned us to one of the sites with an attached “Paw Pad”, which is a chain-link fenced section which takes up your entire grilling/lounging area adjacent to the parking spot (these spots cost extra too, I just didn’t notice it on the receipt) Anyways, I checked in and we followed the guide on his golf cart to the site, and saw what was waiting for us. (See pic). Although this new section is nice, MANY of the new sites have these “paw-pads”, and they are so close to the parking spot that you CANNOT OPEN YOUR DRIVERS SIDE SLIDE-OUTS when squeezed between the power pole/sewer drain and the fences. I had to ask (beg) to get moved to another spot that we could fit into. The employees hate the set-up, but claim “corporate” didn’t care about their input when designing things. NOTE: I know this is a trend with all the new RV resorts to build these damned fenced in dog runs everywhere, but we HATE them. Our dog is a trained service dog, not a rug rat that we stick in a pen outside. I never asked for the pen but the grumpy lady at the desk says it’s what you get when you claim a pet on your reservation (also you cannot check in before noon, under any circumstances, and even then it’s a $25 early check-in fee, FOR 1 HOUR). I personally can’t stand this trend of newer RV resorts building these pens everywhere, as it just encourages campers to leave their little terrors outside all day to yap non-stop at everything that moves. We will avoid parks with these from now on. (Edit: we are still waiting for the crabby office lady to give us the credit for not having the Paw Pad I didn’t ask for)
Jun 26, 2025 · David BergeronTook my family for a 3 day weekend! The service was exceptional but especially enjoyed the pool and splash pad. It was very convenient not having to leave the park for essentials like beer and snacks. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest we’ve seen at a campground and staff was constantly keeping up with maintenance and cleanliness. We already booked our next visit for Fourth of July weekend.
Jun 02, 2025 · First Due InfoEnjoyed our stay here. Stayed in site 77. Campsites were very close together in that area. Employees allowed extra vehicles parked at some campsites which made it more difficult getting in and out. We had campfire tongs and hotdog cookers stolen from our site while we were there. Train passed by pretty regular while we were there but you eventually get used to it.The campground is in a good location to downtown Dells . We would stay here again.
Jun 28, 2025 · Ed RickettsI had a late arrival and found my check in papers easily. I had a very basic tent site with no hookups (there is water located in the center of the sites).Ruth and Donna helped me check in the next day and were absolutely wonderful. They gave us lots of suggestions for spots to grab food and drinks.I would suggest ear plugs for anyone camping in a tent. The train is pretty frequent at night.I would highly recommend this place for any train enthusiasts
