Its proximity to the town of Manila means that campers are never too far from basic supplies, though it is always recommended to come prepared. For those interested in water-based activities, the campground is just a few minutes away from a boat ramp, providing easy access to the majestic Flaming Gorge Reservoir, a major hub for boating, fishing, and other water sports.

While the location provides a sense of remoteness, it is not so isolated that it becomes difficult to reach. The roads leading to the campground are typically well-maintained, but it's always a good practice to check road conditions, especially during the shoulder seasons. The services offered at Willows Campground are designed to provide a comfortable yet rustic camping experience. While it focuses on the essentials, these amenities are crucial for a pleasant stay. Campers should be aware that the amenities are basic, fitting for a traditional campground setting.
Picnic tables are provided at each site, offering a convenient surface for preparing and enjoying meals. This small but important amenity makes it easy for families and groups to gather for a meal together, creating a shared communal space at each campsite.
Public restrooms are available, including vault toilets. While one review notes "No water!", it is important to clarify that this likely refers to a lack of running water at the time of that specific visit, as the campground is listed as having running water as an amenity. It is always wise for visitors to bring their own supply of drinking water as a precaution. Vault toilets provide a basic and functional sanitation option, a common feature in many of Utah's more rustic and scenic campgrounds.
Tent sites are the primary type of accommodation available. This makes Willows Campground an ideal spot for traditional tent camping, perfect for those who want a true back-to-basics outdoor experience. The sites are spread out, offering a good degree of privacy and space.
On-site parking is available, making it convenient for campers to park their vehicles right at or near their campsite. This ease of access for vehicles is a significant plus, especially when unloading and setting up camp.

August 22 · pat stefanonEverything you'd expect for a forest service campsite. Location was everything. Spent one night in May 2021. A little muddy on the access road since it was rainy. Located in the Flaming Gorge NRA and adjacent to the Sheep Creek Geologic Area. Beautiful scenery. 9 sites. First come first served, paid $13, pit toilet.
