We recently stayed at this campground and we had a blast. Water acces for kids to get wet and rockhound. Awesome campground locations for set up pop up campers. Which is what we had. Just FYI bring your bug spray. Our kids almost got flown away by the mosquitoes. But we managed to escape those with out to much damage. Just a cool place to stay a night or 2 if you need a spot around this area. We'd recommend. It 100%. Thanks to the on site manager. For keeping restrooms clean and stocked. It's perfectly suited for locals because it provides that elusive combination of easy access, essential comforts, and a genuine connection to the outdoors, all within our beloved state.

The "no reservation" policy is a significant draw for us. We often appreciate the flexibility to pack up and head out on a whim, especially for a quick weekend getaway. Finding a "cheap, nice & quiet" spot, even on a busy Labor Day weekend, is a testament to its value and appeal to those in the know. The "lots of space" at each site is another huge plus; it means we can truly spread out, allowing families with "kids to run and bike rides etc." and creating a comfortable, uncrowded environment that’s often hard to find at more popular campgrounds.

The presence of the "Williamson River" right there, with "water access for kids to get wet and rockhound," provides endless natural entertainment. This direct interaction with the clear, cool water is a quintessential Oregon summer experience, perfect for cooling off on a warm day. And while mosquitoes are a reality of outdoor life ("bring your bug spray"), the overall enjoyment clearly outweighs this minor inconvenience, as attested by returning families.

Furthermore, the consistently "clean and stocked restrooms" managed by an "on site manager" (like Jesse and family, as praised by reviewers) are a major comfort, especially for those who typically "hate" vault toilets. This attention to detail elevates the camping experience, making it more pleasant and accessible for everyone.
