- Boat Ramp & Docks: Wildlife Woods Campground provides a "boat ramp" for easy access to Lake Norman. While docks are mentioned, some reviews highlight them as "raggedy" and in "extremely shallow water," suggesting they are best suited for pontoons or jet skis rather than larger vessels or swimming directly from.

- Laundry Facilities: For extended stays or just refreshing clothes after outdoor activities, a laundry facility is available.
- Wi-Fi Access: Connectivity is provided with Wi-Fi available throughout the campground.

- Mix of Permanent and Short-Term Sites: The campground primarily consists of "mostly permanent camp spots," which can create a stable, community-like atmosphere. However, it also offers "very nice" short-term spots, especially those near the pool, providing flexibility for transient visitors. This blend allows for both long-term residency and weekend getaways.

- Open All Year: Wildlife Woods Campground operates year-round, providing flexibility for North Carolina locals to plan their camping trips regardless of the season.
It's important for prospective campers to note the varied feedback on certain aspects, such as the condition of the boat docks and the sun exposure on some short-term sites. However, for those seeking a laid-back, lakeside environment with essential RV amenities and a good pool, these highlights can make Wildlife Woods a suitable choice.

Wildlife Woods Campground Reviews
It's a great little getaway, pool was nice ,great hook up for RVs good time was had by all thanks wildlife woods.
Jun 05, 2025 · sailing windThis place is...interesting. It was calm and enjoyable but not the run of the mill campground. Mostly permanent camp spots here. The short term spots close to the pool were very nice. The pool was nice. The short term spots not on the same road as the pool were in the baking sun, on a hill. The boat ramp exists. There are raggedy docks covered in goose droppings. Extremely shallow water barely suitable for a pontoon or jet ski. But if you don't need luxury docks or want to put your body in the water, then I guess it works. It is in a no-wake cove, so still water. Lots of ick and trees and algae in the water until about 50 feet out from shore. Nice campground to walk the dogs around, though. The office is straight out of 1985, but it does the job. I would pick a different campground over this one, in the future, but I wouldn't say I would refuse to come back.
Sep 01, 2024 · Brittany WillisWe've been camping here for 15+ years. The staff is very friendly. Yes there are permanent campers that are in need of sprucing up and their lots could use some attention but most are well kept. Prices are reasonable and it is an older establishment.
May 24, 2024 · Lisa KnightThis place is definitely WILD. Three people work the front end and dependant on the day determines who helps you.I use the term help very loosely. They seem to make the rules up as they go and are the rudest people I ever came across. It's a darn shame because this place has so much potential but it's being ruined by the 3 dictators with free range to act as they please. Ownership really needs to review the cameras and audio and listen and watch how their profits are being ran off and treated like dirt. I would not recommend this camp ground in its current state under its current management.
Jan 16, 2024 · frank PlumberLoved staying here for the weekend. Cheap but great at the same time. Camp site was perfect size for our camper and truck and came with a picnic table and firepit. Pool was super clean. Also all the permanent residents are very friendly and welcoming!
