White River Campground Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️One of the best primitive camping experiences I've had!I camped solo at White River Campground and felt completely safe the whole time. The lodge and facilities were immaculate and well cared for. It’s easy to find and get to, and the staff are fantastic—Hope was awesome and even helped me switch my site when I asked! For primitive campers, a tip: sites P5 and P6 are at the rear of the area and have some standing water nearby, so you’ll want to choose a spot on the river side for a better experience. If you are booking less than 24 hours in advance, please call as you will not be able to book online.Overall, I loved it and will absolutely be back. Sharing some photos so you can see just how great the place is!Additionally: The site is 100% Accessible if this is a concern.
Jul 03, 2025 · C. A-SweattNice campground but crowded. A lot of loud kids and adults. The facility was nice with a nice path that leads to horse faculty, archery range and aerial sports. Considered this nice but when we got there, the office mixed up our reservation. We have a 40 ft class A. They had us booked in a tiny spot by the office and kept insisting it would fit. It would not. Fortunately another camper in a van who was booked in a big site came up and offered to switch with us. Very nice and they saved the day since people in office said they didn't have anything else and don't know what happened or who in the office made the mistake. So it worked out.
Jun 21, 2025 · Jane BurtThis is easily the best campground anywhere near Indianapolis... and we've officially tried them all. Absolutely beautiful, clean, quiet, with plenty to do and eat nearby, at one third the price of the saddest little KOA outside of Indianapolis. Certainly a lot nicer than the other over priced parking lots in the area.
Jun 16, 2025 · Julie KavanaghCamp sites for tents are pretty roomy. Most campers are very friendly. The pool is a lot of fun for my kids. Laundry room is very tidy with books to read available.Bring the bug spray!
Jun 04, 2025 · Dana LamontEnjoyed camping here for 3 nights with White River flowing behind our RV!! Beautiful campground along the White River with 3 sections and tent camping. Some amenities are laundry, bathhouses, camp store, fishing pier, kayak launch, playground, gated, dump station and Patterson Historic bridge access to biking & hiking trails at Strawtown Koteewi park. Which is an added bonus along with the kayak launch & lake at the park we used to float down White River to our campground!!
