Whispering Falls Campground Reviews
It was really not bad at all, I took campsite 10 it was huge definitely great for bigger groups, spaced out nicely. Has amazing clean bathrooms, water, huge trash cans, a place where you can dump dirty waters, fire pit and a table at each site. There was a small hike but we just needed a smaller area anyways we were on our trip back home and needed a place to sleep.
Jun 24, 2025 · Samantha JeanBeautiful place. The sites are big with plenty of space between the other sites, and the river running along the backside is amazing. The camp hosts are awesome, very friendly and the camp was immaculate. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's close to the highway, so a lot of highway noise.
Jun 23, 2025 · Joel HeinzenWhen I go camping I really want to feel like I'm away from it all and unfortunately the road noise here prevented that. Sites 2 through 6 are best for tent camping (their parking spaces prevent a rig or motorhome from really being *in* the best part of the space), and since they're very close to a fast running river, the sound of that masks most of the road noise. I was in site 16 (the best I could do at very short notice) and the road being only about 50 yards away was very noticeable; traffic is going past at a pretty high speed and especially when the big rigs hit their Jakes, it's noisy. That said, the camp host, Bob, was very friendly and kind, the facilities, although I didn't need them, seemed clean and well cared for and after dark the other campers were for the most part very quiet. If I were on my way somewhere else and needed a place to rest overnight I might stay here again but I don't think we'll be returning as a destination.
Jun 16, 2025 · Susanna L.This campground is small, some spots are reserve only but there are first come/first serve spaces as well. We stayed in space 7 and it was perfect for one large tent and two medium tents. It has an easy path that leads directly down to the river. At the rivers edge we discovered 1 spot that was a combination of sand and rocks and 2 sandy beaches to place our towels on. We LOVED it here!! Great camp host, Sergio, that took awesome care of the bathrooms everyday!
Aug 19, 2021 · Carolyn FlemingAfter being disappointed by not getting to Horseshoe Lake to camp, and a very rude, unhelpful camp host at the next campground (Cove Creek), we wound up here. Ray and (I think) Barbara, the camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. We stayed at spot # 4, which was an amazing area. This will definitely be a goto place for us in the future! Always nice when the unexpected turns out to be a great adventure!
