Wagon Trail Campground Reviews
Absolutely loved our stay at Wagon Trail! This was our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back. The staff were so warm and welcoming—it made check-in and every interaction feel easy and enjoyable. One feature I especially appreciated was the ability to charge things like firewood and ice to your account instead of paying each time. It’s such a simple convenience, but it really adds to the relaxed vibe.As many others have mentioned, the bathrooms here are outstanding—hands down the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever seen at a campground. The showers were spotless, and everything felt well cared for.The overall atmosphere was just what I was hoping for in Door County: peaceful, calm, and beautifully maintained. A perfect place to unwind. Can’t wait to come back!
Jul 03, 2025 · Sarah Engel-StreicherThis may be the nicest campground you will ever visit, and this is not lost on people who come to Door County. The facilities were immaculate, they had a wonderful little store/gift shop, the staff was wonderful, the sites were generously sized, and the location can't be beat. They also had the most adorable little group of squirrels hanging out by the store! But coming here in late June was anything but peaceful. The place was packed and guests of all ages felt very free to vocalize how much fun they were having, from sunup until after "quiet time" begins at 10 pm. I still give this place 5 stars because there is no denying it is extremely nice, and they can't help being so popular.
Jun 27, 2025 · Gwenosaurus RexBeautiful campground. Well manicured sites, cleanest shower house and rest rooms I've ever seen in any campground. Very nice amenities and friendly staff. I've already made reservations for another trip this year. If you're thinking about camping in Door County this is an awesome destination...
Jun 28, 2025 · Gary SaferWe stayed at two different campgrounds on our trip to Door County. Wagon Trail was our favorite, by far.We rented a Yurt. The site was great, with electricity in the yurt, and having a running water spigot on site is really nice. A large fire pit with a slide-away cooking grate made cooking over the fire easy. Parking is a little tight in the Yurt sites, but there’s is overflow parking for another car, boat, etc. they have a fish cleaning station with a hose, cutting boards, and large stainless table, and a deep freezer to store your catch during your trip. The staff in the main office is incredibly friendly, and they have a small shop with everything you need. There’s also a pool table, small library, arcade, park and a volleyball court. It is kid-friendly with lots of kids biking around for ours to play with. A 5 minute bike ride to Rowley’s bay to lunch a small boat or fish from shore.10/10 would definitely come back
Jun 25, 2025 · Devin McCormickOur 1st time here and it was ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Surrounded by trees, quiet, clean bathrooms/showers! Very very impressed! The owners and staff were super friendly and made sure to answer any questions we had. They also had a map of the area and places to see! Above and beyond campground! We will definitely be back.
