Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins stands as a functional and well-located option for those looking to experience the beauty of Northern Minnesota, especially the majestic Voyageurs National Park. While it may not offer the deep wilderness solitude of some more remote sites, it excels as a convenient and amenity-rich base camp. Catering to both recreational vehicles and those seeking the comfort of a cabin, it provides a practical solution for a diverse range of travelers. The campground’s primary appeal lies in its straightforward approach to camping, focusing on utility and proximity to major attractions. It aims to offer a clean and managed environment from which to launch your daily explorations, ensuring you have a comfortable spot to return to after a day of adventure on the water or trails.
Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins is strategically located at 2031 2nd Ave, International Falls, MN 56649, USA. This address places it directly in International Falls, a key gateway city to Voyageurs National Park. Its proximity to the park's visitor centers, particularly the Rainy Lake Visitor Center and potentially the Ash River and Kabetogama Visitor Centers (depending on which entrance you are using for the park), is a significant advantage for travelers. As one reviewer noted, it is "Close and convenient to Voyageurs National Park Fanny Lake Visitor Center," highlighting its primary appeal.
Accessibility to the campground is excellent, with well-maintained roads leading directly to the site. This makes it easy to navigate for all types of vehicles, including larger RVs and those towing trailers. While the convenience of being close to town and major roadways means there can be "quite a bit of noise from the highway," this is often a trade-off for easy access to supplies, dining, and park services. The campground's location within International Falls also means that essential services like grocery stores, gas stations, and local attractions are just a short drive away, adding to the overall convenience for visitors. For Minnesotans planning a trip to this unique national park, the straightforward drive and proximity to amenities are undeniable benefits.
Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins provides a range of services designed to make your stay comfortable and practical, especially for RV travelers.
RV Sites with Full Hookups: Many sites offer full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer connections. This is a significant convenience for RVers, allowing for extended stays without the need to frequently relocate for services. One review specifically mentioned "power/water/sewer hookups were in good repair" on their site.
Pull-Through Sites: The availability of pull-through sites makes it "easy to drive into and park with our small rig," as one customer noted. This feature is particularly helpful for larger RVs, simplifying arrival and departure.
Cabin Rentals: In addition to RV sites, the campground also offers cabins, providing an alternative accommodation option for those without an RV or who prefer a more rustic cabin experience while still having access to campground amenities.
Restrooms: Restroom facilities are available for campers. While one review noted they "needed some attention and restocking" and the "shower and bath house are in need of a complete renovation," they were acknowledged to be functional ("they worked"). This suggests basic, but usable, facilities.
Showers: Shower facilities are provided within the bathhouse, offering a place for campers to clean up after a day of outdoor activities.
Maintained Grounds: The campground is "kept mowed and clean," indicating regular upkeep of the common areas and sites. This contributes to a pleasant and tidy environment for campers.
Pet-Friendly: While not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, most private campgrounds like this are typically pet-friendly, with rules regarding leashing and waste disposal. It is always best to confirm directly if traveling with pets.
Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins offers several key features and highlights that make it a compelling choice for visitors to Northern Minnesota.
Proximity to Voyageurs National Park: This is arguably the biggest highlight. The campground serves as an excellent "good base for us to explore Voyageurs National Park," offering convenient access to one of Minnesota's most unique national treasures. Being close to visitor centers makes planning park activities much easier.
Convenient for RVs: The campground is well-suited for RVers, with ample space, easy parking, and the availability of full hookups. This means less hassle and more time for enjoying your trip.
Clean and Maintained Grounds: The "campground was kept mowed and clean," contributing to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. This attention to tidiness is appreciated by campers.
Variety of Accommodation: The inclusion of both RV sites and cabins provides flexibility for different travel preferences and group sizes.
Local Services Accessibility: Its location in International Falls means easy access to town amenities such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas, and supplies, which is a practical benefit for any extended stay.
Practicality Over Perfection: While some facilities like restrooms and showers are noted as being "in need of a complete renovation," the fact that "they worked" indicates a functional approach. For travelers prioritizing location and essential hookups over luxurious amenities, this campground delivers on practicality.
Potential for Quieter Sites: While noise from the highway and bus depot was noted, the suggestion to "request a site on the opposite side of the campground" indicates that quieter spots might be available, offering some flexibility for campers sensitive to noise.

Voyageurs RV Campground and Cabins Reviews
We stayed four nights in site 6. The campground was kept mowed and clean, and it was easy to drive into and park with our small rig. The restrooms needed some attention and restocking. There was quite a bit of noise from the highway, and sites are pretty close together, but it was a good base for us to explore Voyageurs National Park.
Jun 29, 2025 · M.K. GrantClose and convenient to Voyageurs National Park Fanny Lake Visitor Center. We stayed in site 14, which sadly backed up to a school district bus depot, so early mornings were louder than desired. The site was clean, pull through, and power/water/sewer hookups were in good repair. The shower and bath house are in need of a complete renovation but they worked. I’d stay here again but I’d request a site on the opposite side of the campground.
May 30, 2025 · David FedorkoThe good: we stayed in a full hook up site and the location was very convenient to town and rainy lake visitor center. Price was great. The bad: A lot of trees really need Trimming or taken down. Posed a hazard during a serious storm. The ugly: the restroom/bathhouse.
Jun 30, 2025 · Holly BGreat location, about 20 minutes from the Rainy Lake Visitors Center. No frills, but full hookup and easy pull-through spots. Owners were very responsive and accommodating.
Jun 24, 2025 · Denise ClarkThis campground has pros and cons.Pros:· Level sites. We were in 16.· Good FHU· Quiet despite being on main road· Convenient location.Cons:· Big potholes at main entrance and exits. There is a third back exit that is better.· No Wi-Fi even though road sign, websites, and welcome emails say it exists· The bathrooms and showers are awful, and weeds need to be trimmed away from the doors.Manager was mowing and throwing debris against our motorhome.Overall, it is a good place to just park and go explore, but if we come back would probably stop elsewhere.
