We had a great time for the 4th of July weekend! The camp grounds were peaceful and very comfortable. It was pretty packed but everyone was awesome and considerate. The 7 year old had a blast and made some friends too. The whole park and every one in it was super dog friendly. There were fireworks at all so the dogs weren't all skiddish the whole time too. Beautiful sandy beach right on the Columbia. Glad we went. Totally worth the drive! - Cheyenne Larsen

As one delighted camper enthusiastically shared, "We had a great time for the 4th of July weekend! Totally worth the drive!" This glowing review highlights many of Vista Park's core strengths: its family-friendly and dog-friendly environment, the sense of community even when busy, and its prime location with direct access to a "beautiful sandy beach right on the Columbia."

This article is tailored specifically for Washington residents looking for a reliable, well-equipped, and enjoyable campground experience. If you appreciate waking up to stunning river views, watching colossal ships glide by, and having access to clean, comfortable facilities, Vista Park is a destination that consistently exceeds expectations. Its versatility, offering everything from full hookup RV sites to secluded tent areas and even yurts, means it can cater to a wide range of camping styles and preferences.

Another camper, on their "maiden voyage" with a new motorhome, found Vista Park "absolutely amazing! The location was quiet and the scenery was beautiful. We had reserved a spot right on the Columbia River so we could watch the ships go by, and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and informative, and check-in was a breeze. We will definitely be going back here again." This further reinforces the park's appeal, particularly for RV enthusiasts who prioritize scenic views, helpful staff, and a smooth, hassle-free experience.

The allure of watching immense ocean-going vessels navigate the Columbia River is a unique highlight of Vista Park. It's a fascinating spectacle that adds an unexpected dimension to your camping trip, captivating both adults and children alike. Beyond the river, the park itself offers a wealth of amenities designed to enhance your stay. With a total of 69 campsites and 5 yurts, there's ample choice. The presence of flush toilets, showers, a sports field, tennis and basketball courts, a picnic area, and playgrounds ensures there's always something to do, whether you're looking for active recreation or just a place for the kids to burn off some energy. The cleanliness of these facilities is often praised, contributing significantly to a pleasant stay.

Knowing that your furry companions are not just tolerated but genuinely welcomed, with beach access and trails where they can stretch their legs (on leash, of course), makes Vista Park an ideal choice for pet owners who want to include their four-legged family members in their adventures.

Vista Park's location in the historic Skamokawa Valley also offers opportunities for local exploration beyond the campground. The area is rich in natural beauty and historical significance, providing chances for bird watching, exploring the nearby Skamokawa River Life Interpretive Center, or simply enjoying the tranquil rural setting. It's a place that encourages both relaxation within the park and discovery of the surrounding area.

In conclusion, Vista Park is a gem on the Columbia River, offering a fantastic balance of comfort, natural beauty, and engaging activities.
