We spent 2 weeks here and hated to leave! Showers have the best water pressure! Friendly helpful staff and owners are awesome! The bar in walking distance has great food and drinks! We will be back for sure!

Amazing customer service! Staff was friendly and attentive. We needed to change our sites and they made special accomodations for for us which made all the difference for our group. Sites have grass. Showers always had hot water. Bathrooms and showers were clean. They have a well stocked camp store. Hoping to check out the restaurant and bar at our next visit.

This is a nice quiet 100 site campground with grassy sites. It's a campground accommodating rustic camping and is pet friendly. This is a no frills camp: no internet at the sites, no pool, no playground, lake is a short distance away, no paved lots. They also have a restaurant and bar with great food and live music.Each site has electric, a picnic table and fire pit. Some sites have water for the RVs, but no sewer.The bathhouse is kept clean several times a day. Staff is very nice and accommodating. The owner, Brian, is nice and understanding. He has several rental campers, including bunkhouses for families, fully stocked, so all you mainly need are your clothes and personal items. No pets are allowed in the rental campers.They have a few large sites, dry camping only with no hookups, for a large group of campers.The sites are not paved. Some of the sites are narrow and small, which is perfect for tents. There are a few that are wider. They still can accommodate toy haulers and motor homes here.They also provide FREE overflow parking for your 4x4s, cargo trailers, flatbeds, extra vehicles, etc. The overflow parking is at the camp entrance and very close to campsites for walking.Val-du is a little over 1 mile from Silver Lake. Ideal location just away from the busy down town, but close enough to ride bikes or walk, if you want.There is a laundry room open 24 hours. The small store supplies some laundry soaps, is well stocked with plenty of Silver Lake memorabilia to take home or give family and friends.They also sell some camping supplies like tents, lawn chairs, ice, firewood, pop, candy, fire starter, lighter fluid, smores makings, including the sticks to put them on over your fire. They sell hoodies, sweaters, hats, t-shirts, flip-flops, blankets, towels, tarps, ice cream, water, some games, cups, kozies, magnets, and so much more.This is not a camp for rowdy drunks to stay up all night by the fire and cause trouble for others. There are rules to abide by. The entire Oceana County Silver Lake area has an ordinance for quiet time after 11:00pm at all camps. These rules apply to everyone, including the Dunes.I've read the bad reviews on here blaming this park for their rules. Their rules are consistent with all the other campgrounds I've stayed at. I've never stayed at a park that allowed drunks and unruly campers to stay up all night being so rude to others!We love this camp and will stay here again. We tell all our friends and family to stay here also.
