Ulipius Lake, often referred to as Kermit Chambers VFW Park & Lake, is presented as a community-oriented park and campground, managed by VFW Post 7402. It aims to offer a family-friendly place for recreation, with visitors having access to a lake, RV and tent campgrounds, a playground, picnic areas, and event pavilions. The park is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, with the office hours from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's important to note that while it strives to provide a pleasant experience, recent feedback from some campers indicates inconsistent management practices and issues with rule enforcement.
Some visitors have reported challenges with communication from management, noting conflicting information about rules and site usage. There have also been concerns regarding the cleanliness of the lake's water and the need for dredging. While the park does offer both primitive and RV camping, some campers have experienced issues with site sizes and proximity to neighbors. Despite these reported challenges, the park offers a unique pay lake experience, and it's important to recognize that some services, like shower access, may have specific limitations or be exclusively for RV campers. The park aims to be a local recreational hub, and for day use visitors or those with specific expectations, it may offer a different experience than for those seeking a traditional, highly regulated campground stay.

Ulipius lake Reviews
It's a good camp ground. It's just the management.i stayed almost 20 days a seen a lot you have one manger tell you something then another get mad and tell you different. I see a handicap childs father get told he could drive in field to set up then manger came running out and told him that they never said that . Then I was told showers where for campers and then I was told no it's just for RVs. The managers think they own the property and are always looking to fight anyone for any reason . The rules are not consistent and they have no clue what's going on I used to would recommend this place but not after they lied to my face and many others I will not ever go back till the Va does something about management. They treat veterans like trash here as if they are better then you and very disrespectful to everyone. I normally never leave bad reviews but this place camping is a nightmare. As a day use it may be different but for campers it's not a friendly place .
