Trout Lake State Forest Campground Reviews
Draining this lake was the worst things that could have happened to this campground. This was one of the most beautiful hidden gems and now it's completely destroyed.
Jun 09, 2025 · Melissa PickardI just came from this lake, which is no longer a lake. What happened to it, who's the person that took a great functioning lake, and made it like this. A really shallow lake, if they drained it, then you did the worst thing that could have done. The only thing going out there now is hiking, and that's it. It gets hot there every year, the lake was the only activity that kids would enjoy. This is no longer family friendly anymore. It looks more like a dumpster now. Don't take your kids out there for swimming, that won't be happening.
Jun 13, 2025 · Shelby GeilaIts beautiful here, but the DNR won't enforce quiet hours. We've been listening to someone run an insanely loud generator day and night, and its completely ruined the entire trip. Don't waste your time and take the chance that you end up with bad neighbors - nothing will be done about it.
Jun 14, 2025 · Rachel BarkerHas a lovely campground adjacent to the lake. The way to get there is inconsistent with Google maps. Use the posted signs.
