The Tri-State Holiness Association is a deeply rooted institution, recognized for providing a distinctive spiritual experience. It is fundamentally a "camp meeting" ground, a historical format for religious revival and community gathering that emphasizes a return to fundamental Christian principles and the pursuit of holiness. For many, like the reviewer who shared a powerful testimony, it's a place where significant life transformations occur, offering a path to spiritual renewal and a new perspective on life. The atmosphere is deeply faith-centered, fostering an environment where individuals can "find Jesus" and reconnect with their spiritual roots in a profound way. It’s a place that continues to uphold "old fashion" traditions, appealing to those who value a consistent, unwavering approach to faith and worship. While reviews acknowledge that some of the facilities, particularly cabins, may be "run down" and in need of updates, the core value of the experience lies in its spiritual impact and the enduring sense of community it provides. This makes it a unique and meaningful destination for Pennsylvanians seeking a focused spiritual retreat rather than a typical recreational camping vacation. The emphasis is clearly on the spiritual journey and the communal worship experience, which is its primary draw and enduring legacy.
The Tri-State Holiness Association is conveniently located at 55 Campmeeting Rd, Clinton, PA 15026, USA. This address places it within the peaceful, rural landscape of Clinton, a community in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. While seemingly secluded, its position ensures a quiet environment conducive to reflection and spiritual focus, yet it remains accessible for individuals and families traveling from across Pennsylvania.
Being situated in Clinton, it is within a reasonable driving distance from major population centers in Western Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, making it a viable destination for a weekend or multi-day spiritual retreat without extensive travel. The "Campmeeting Road" address itself evokes the historical and ongoing purpose of the site as a dedicated gathering place for spiritual encampments. This blend of serene rural setting and relative accessibility allows participants to easily disconnect from the distractions of daily life and immerse themselves fully in the spiritual program, while still being connected to the broader regional infrastructure should the need arise. For Pennsylvanians, this means a significant spiritual sanctuary is within reach, offering a convenient opportunity to engage in a unique and traditional form of worship and community gathering.
As a traditional holiness camp meeting, the Tri-State Holiness Association primarily offers services centered around spiritual worship, teaching, and community gathering, rather than typical recreational campground amenities.
- Camp Meeting Services: The core offering is its annual "camp meeting," which involves regular worship services, preaching, and spiritual fellowship. These are characterized as "old fashion" in style, focusing on traditional holiness teachings.
- Overnight Accommodations (Cabins): The association provides cabins for lodging during the camp meetings. While noted by a reviewer as being "run down" and in need of updates, they serve as functional, on-site housing for attendees.
- Community Atmosphere: The environment fosters a strong sense of community and unity among attendees, described as a "neat little camp." This communal aspect is a key part of the experience.
- Focus on Spiritual Renewal: The primary service is facilitating spiritual transformation and renewal through its evangelistic and teaching programs.
- Grounds for Gathering: The property includes areas suitable for communal gathering and reflection, supporting the overall camp meeting structure.
It is important to manage expectations regarding traditional campground amenities. There is no mention of RV hookups, modern bathhouses with showers, playgrounds, recreational facilities like pools, or Wi-Fi. The emphasis is squarely on the spiritual experience and basic lodging to support participation in the camp meeting. Attendees should prepare for a rustic environment focused on spiritual rather than material comforts.
The Tri-State Holiness Association, as a traditional camp meeting ground, offers a unique set of features and highlights that set it apart, particularly for those seeking a specific type of spiritual experience.
- Traditional "Old Fashion" Camp Meeting: This is the paramount feature. The Association maintains a time-honored tradition of holiness camp meetings, providing a rare opportunity to participate in a form of worship and spiritual gathering that harks back to earlier eras of religious revival.
- Deep Spiritual Focus and Impact: Reviews highlight the profound spiritual experiences individuals have had here, emphasizing "finding Jesus," spiritual transformation, and a renewed sense of purpose. It's a place where faith is actively nurtured and strengthened.
- Sense of Community and Unity: Despite any physical shortcomings, the camp fosters a strong "neat little camp" atmosphere, creating a close-knit community among attendees who share similar faith values. This sense of unity is a significant draw.
- Dedicated to Holiness Teachings: For those aligned with or interested in the Holiness movement's emphasis on sanctification and a life free from sin, this camp provides a consistent and dedicated environment for such teachings.
- Historical Significance: Participating in a camp meeting like this connects attendees to a rich vein of American religious history, where such gatherings played a crucial role in spiritual and social life.
- Rustic and Simple Environment: While some might see "run down" facilities as a negative, for others, the rustic nature emphasizes the focus on spiritual matters over worldly comforts, aligning with a simpler, more dedicated approach to faith.
- Peaceful, Secluded Setting: Located on "Campmeeting Rd" in Clinton, the rural address suggests a quiet environment, free from urban distractions, allowing for deep spiritual contemplation and focus.
It's crucial for prospective attendees to understand that the primary "highlight" of the Tri-State Holiness Association is its spiritual programming and the traditional camp meeting experience itself, not modern recreational amenities. The commitment to its core mission outweighs concerns about facility aesthetics for its dedicated attendees.
As a religious association focused on traditional camp meetings, the Tri-State Holiness Association does not typically advertise "Promotions or Special Offers" in the conventional sense of a commercial campground. Their offerings are centered around participation in their spiritual events.
However, the "promotion" for attendees lies in the accessibility and nature of the camp meeting itself. Historically, camp meetings were designed to be accessible to a wide audience, with a focus on spiritual growth rather than profit. This often translates to very reasonable (or even donation-based) costs for participation, though specific rates for cabin usage would apply.
The primary "offer" is the spiritual renewal and community experience provided during their scheduled camp meetings. Information regarding specific dates for their annual camp meeting, any associated costs for lodging (e.g., cabins), and how to participate would need to be obtained directly. It's highly probable that their focus is on facilitating spiritual attendance rather than generating commercial revenue from camping, which means the value is in the unique spiritual program they offer.

Tri-State Holiness Association Reviews
Wonderful place to find Jesus. I went as a child to this camp and rebelled. My life was a mess, drugs, drink, satan destroyed me. But eight years ago Jesus found me, and what a difference in my life. The things I once loved, I now hate, and the things I hated I now love. Jesus passed by, and I now live a new life. Old things have passed away and a new life began. I am thankful for an old fashion camp meeting such as this, that still travels the old fashion route.
