Topeka / Capital City KOA Journey Reviews
Friendly staff. Very nice pool! The grounds are well kept with lots of things to do on site for the family! Sites are spacious and close to all the amenities. They have 2 public bathroom areas also, one on each end of the campground.
Jun 05, 2025 · PAMELA GRIMESGot in a little after 8, no staff in sight. The KOA said they had wood on site for purchase, all of it was gone and again no staff in sight.Also- FIREWORKS. Lots. Well past 10:30.May sound cool, but after a long day of traveling with a dog, this was the last thing we wanted.
Jun 29, 2025 · Jessica HaltinnerIt was a great stay, we are tent campers, and the grass was mowed and had plenty of room. Good fishing, and a nice pool, and a neat little game room. It's noisy from the highway, but it's a journey.
Jun 17, 2025 · Gary BrownellBeautifully kept campground. Immaculate bathhouse. Easy access from Interstate 75/70 yet quiet and serene. Friendly/helpful management. Saltwater pool looks amazing. Highly recommend!
May 06, 2025 · Dale PijanowskiWe stayed at Topeka/Capital City KOA Journey for two nights and were disappointed by our experience. While the campground was mostly empty (it appears to cater primarily to full-time residents), we were charged for a full extra night because we checked out late on the final day. Given the lack of occupancy and being off-season, this felt unreasonable and unnecessary. The campground itself was adequate, the bathrooms were clean, but the inflexible checkout policy left a sour taste. Be aware that even with minimal occupancy, they enforce a strict checkout time and charge for any late departure.
