Toad Suck Park Reviews
Wow! Now, I know what I'm getting when I book a site, if I wanna be in the middle of the woods, I book that, this is not that. What it is a great, convenient, quiet and clean place to camp for a night or two. I booked two cause it's a weekend but this is just one stop on a long road trip. Undoubtedly, my site, C10 is the best site. Most are too close together but this one has no neighbors. Great view of the bridge and the river. Host/ranger was vert pleasant and I saw them regularly checking the campground (love that! Felt safe). Make sure you stop at the Toad Suck truck stop/gas station on the way in to grab some Toad Suck memorabilia!!
Oct 26, 2024 · Amber LavalleeWe had a wonderful time here! The people that work the campground were so kind and so were all of the neighbors. It was cool watching the barges and hearing them blow the horns. Campground bathhouse is SUPER clean and very well maintained. Probably the cleanest we’ve ever seen at a campground. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Plus on Friday nights there’s a good truck over by the Convenience Station ( walking distance ) that we heard serves up some amazing fried catfish. Will absolutely come back.
Apr 22, 2022 · Tori MarieDon’t let the name put you off! This is our first time here, and we were pleasantly surprised. First time at a COE park in a very long time. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, staying through Friday. Great welcome at the gate! Our space is right on the river with a view across to the lock. Fun to watch the barges pass through. Very minor traffic noise from the bridge. Hearing the river noise is like hearing the surf at the beach—very relaxing. The spaces are all fairly long and MOST are level. Clean and well-maintained with no underbrush or weeds. The restrooms/showers are clean, and are restocked frequently, it appears. So many huge, beautiful trees to enjoy. Most sites will be very shady come summer.Highly recommend!
Mar 15, 2022 · bondgirl42Was disappointed. Lots of road noise at all hours of the day and night. Camphosts were friendly. Our spot was not as clean as I would of expected however. Bath house was clean but not easy to use. There were absolutely zero clothing hooks in any that I visited. Very difficult to shower and leave your clothing on the small wall hung bench while doing so. Then when getting dressed, your clothes would have to be deposited onto the floor. I won't return.
Apr 12, 2024 · Tom ChristensonThis place was amazing the scenic views are breath taking. Not to mention the hospitality and how welcome they made us feel. Everyone is so nice and considerate. It's also inexpensive. We recommend it and give it a high FIVE!!😁👌🏻
