Timberline Glamping at Lake Guntersville Reviews
This is not glamping at all. At least not in the heat of summer. I went hoping to connect with my daughter and have fun. What I got was an extremely hot tent, it was hotter inside than outside. I would have stayed in a hotel if I realized what these accommodations are really like. We booked for 3 nights and stayed 1. When my daughter was so hot she was feeling sick, she didn't even feel better in the BS tent, we left and I drove us home.If you like camping, but just don't want to set up a tent this is for you.If you wanted to enjoy time in the park, but have a peaceful and comfortable place to rest, this is not for you.
Jun 25, 2025 · Lisa BurlingameVery nice set-up. Tents were clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for an easy stay. The park at Guntersville was very calm, clean, and all campers were super respectful of each other. Also, the abundance of bath houses was very much appreciated!
Jun 30, 2025 · Shawn HThe tent itself was fantastic, and the bed was comfortable. The people who set up our special day decorations were responsive and punctual. There were dozens of flies in the tent when we got there, it was ridiculous. The AC unit has LED lights so bright it interfered with our sleep, which is almost moot because of the amount of flies buzzing around our faces; we could only kill so many. I think three stars is fair.
Jun 01, 2025 · jdblackbeltThis is a fabulous compromise between "roughing it with a tent" and an RV! WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS!! Excellent amenities and linens! AC and fans were perfect for 60°-75° days and nights. One thing to note is that Tent #14 is not right next to the bathroom house. It is down the little hill and across a little stream. Not very far, just not shown on the map.
May 16, 2025 · Brandie StarrWife and I went there for our anniversary. There were some initial problems with contacting customer service on a weekend but it all worked out great. The tent is AMAZING. The camp store is maybe 100 yards from the tents. There are 2 bath houses in walking distance. My Wife made me go with her to go potty in the middle of the night and here stands a big at least 10 point Buck and several other deer. We loved it! There is WiFi coverage in the camp so bring the tablet. The beds are AMAZING. Nice big mattresses and comforters. There is a fire ring, an elevated grill, picnic table, and 2 hammocks. I would definitely do it again. And tent has heat and A/C. Yes there is electric to charge everything and a mini fridge and a Keurig.
