★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The glamping tents at Amicalola Falls State Park are amazing. We fit two adults and two children comfortably. The added bonus of air conditioning, ceiling fans and a refrigerator made the mid-July heat bearable. Our outdoor space was amazing as well! The service was also amazing. Our hosts were very quick to respond to our questions and very kind. I highly recommend. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was the cost per night. While the convenience was great, I still feel like the price was a bit much.
July 24 · Tanya GurskyOur family had an amazing glamping trip and the accommodations were great. The tent was clean, cozy and comfortable. It was perfect. The hosts were very accommodating. The facilities were clean and the park was awesome.
July 20 · Frank TheTankGlamping with Timberline at Amicalola Falls was an awesome experience! The location is perfect. It wasn't a far walk from our tent to the bathhouse. The campsite is not located far from the top of the water fall. I like the option for add-ons. I purchased the scavenger hunt boxes for the kids and they loved it. The field behind the tent was perfect. I was able to relax on the deck and watch the kids run around and play. It was peaceful and quiet. The space was very clean and neat. The beds were so confortable! I love the app that Timberline provides before your trip. It includes information and answers all questions you need to know before, during, and after your stay.
April 10 · Angela HayesFantastic 1-night glamping at Amicalola with Timberline Glamping. The #3 tent was clean and the second-closest to the restrooms. Directions & info sent via email were very informative and helpful. Loved the giant ConnectFour rental and option to have firewood ready and waiting. My daughter loved the diffuser and desk area as well. It exceeded our expectations & we will be back again for a longer stay.
June 12 · Jessica RussellA Perfect Blend of Nature and Comfort at Timberline GlampingFor years, my family and I have been dedicated to traditional camping. The ritual of packing the tent, sleeping bags, and all the gear has been part of the adventure. This time, we decided to trade our tent poles for a touch of comfort and try glamping at Timberline in Amicalola Falls State Park. It turned out to be a fantastic decision and a refreshing change of pace.First Impressions and AmbianceNestled directly within the beautiful Amicalola Falls State Park, Timberline offers a unique experience that sits comfortably in the middle of the glamping spectrum—neither extravagantly lavish nor bare-bones basic. The real advantage is being immersed in the park's natural beauty, bound by its peaceful rules, and having direct access to all its amenities. The setting on an RV site provided a sense of community with fellow campers, yet our spacious tent felt private and serene. The Accommodations: Your Canvas HomeThe safari-style tent was a welcome sight. It was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. Inside, we found:Comfortable Beds: The real beds with included linens were a game-changer. Waking up rested without the usual aches from a sleeping pad was a luxury we thoroughly enjoyed.Practical Furnishings: A small study table provided a convenient spot for playing cards and organizing our small items, while the mini-fridge was perfect for keeping drinks and snacks chilled. This setup allowed us to significantly lighten our packing list. We only needed to bring our cooking gear, food, and entertainment, leaving the bulky shelter and bedding items behind. We brought our own firewood, and ending the day around a crackling fire before retiring to a comfortable bed was the perfect combination of rustic camping and modern comfort.Location and ConvenienceThe location is simply unbeatable for exploring the park. A brief, 10-minute walk is all it takes to reach the breathtaking top of Amicalola Falls. For meals, a decent selection of restaurants is just a 15-20 minute drive away, offering a nice break from camp cooking if you desire.Helpful Tips for Future GlampersSeasonal Pricing: We noticed that the rates seem to fluctuate with the seasons. It’s worth keeping an eye on their website to find a rate that fits your budget.Pack Accordingly: While the tent provides shelter, you are still in the mountains. Bring layers of clothing, and perhaps an extra blanket during cooler months.Embrace the Park: Take full advantage of being in a state park. Explore the hiking trails, visitor center, and, of course, the magnificent falls.Overall ImpressionTimberline Glamping at Amicalola Falls provided an enjoyable and memorable getaway. It’s an excellent choice for anyone new to camping, families looking for an easier outdoor adventure, or seasoned campers like us who want to shake things up. You get the classic outdoor experience of a campfire and nature sounds, with the added comfort of a cozy bed at the end of the day. We would certainly recommend it and look forward to returning.
