Aug 02, 2024 · Dana WeickGreat campsites! There's tables and fire rings at each, easy access to water and bathrooms and a trail down to the reservoir. It also is really peaceful and quiet and the views are amazing. We'd definitely come back here!
Jul 06, 2023 · Anastasia HugginsLast weekend was my birthday! I went early Friday morning to claim one of the first come first serve spots. Beatrice and Ron, the camp hosts, were angels and helped me have one of the most amazing birthday experiences I’ve ever had! They were kind and friendly and funny! The camp ground is immaculate as well! Bathrooms were sparkling clean every minute of everyday! The other camp parties were friendly! There is a beautiful trail down to the reservoir! I could not recommend this campground and these hosts more! They even spread the word that it was my birthday and I got multiple other people from other camps coming by to wish me happy birthday! It was amazing! Highly recommended!
Jun 17, 2020 · Kami KnightFabulous location with beautiful scenery- well worth the bumpy road to get there! Easy hike down to the lake that was fantastic for my kids via the marked trail from camp. Good spacing for our tents and hammocks at site 20, plus right next to water, trash, and the bathrooms made it a winner for our family.
Aug 27, 2021 · Matt SchaffnerWe stayed at site #15 from Sunday to Monday. The campground was clean as were the bathrooms. We were right across from the bathroom and the water pump.It was a nice stay. Very quiet. Beautiful sunrise and starry night. There wasn’t, however, a large enough level ground for our tent. We kept the tent to the left of the fire pit/picnic table area (looking at the site from the stairs). That was unfortunate. It makes me wonder what other campsites do not have a level spot. 🤔FOR KAYAKING OR OTHER WATER CRAFT:The lake IS nearby - HOWEVER if you brought a kayak or an other watercraft device, drive to the fishing spot down the road some more. This campsite IS NOT an easy trek to the lake if you are carrying a paddle board or kayak!!!We also tried taking it down near Promontory Picnic Area and it was pretty steep, though, doable if you have determination and grit! (unless you are walking uphill in slippery, wet shoes!!!)
