Though the lay put is weirdly set up, it's still really nice drive through to get to the futher spots. The people in the front desk cabin were funny, sweet and patient and helped my mom situate us in our own lot last second.It's quiet, calm, but not to their fault, a family bringing their very loud dogs and barking their heads off, but luckily not at night. I do wish they had easier access to bathrooms in certain areas but driving your car to them is no issue.I love this place and I'd definitely would stay here again!(No vote on rooms since I stayed in a lot instead of one of the buildings. Was clean, comfortable and spacious for a tent though bigger rvs may have way less space in certain lots)

In 2008 we stayed 21 days at this park on our way to Alaska. The park looked really good and maintained. This was before the patent company got greedy and opened all Thousand Trails up to the public and began leasing annual sites. Problem is even though they have taken in more dollars they have failed to maintain a large majority of them. Bend-Sunriver is a good example. The annual sites here in Pacific City Thousand Trails are over grown and look terrible. If the lessee fails to maintain then the park should. Why am I complaining now, well I'll tell you. We're here during Memorial Day Weekend. I chose a full hookup site about 120 days prior to our stay however we were bumped to a standard site, no sewer (looks like a large number of full hookup sites are occupied by the annual people). Then there's the over growth and ground debris which helps fires. There was also the low water pressure issue. I realize there's probably a shortage of staff but hey, how much money is Equity Life Styles racking in and keeping instead of investing in their properties.In closing, I'm disappointed in the parks we've stated in so far in Oregon but hoping Seaside will be much better.

This is probably the worst Thousand Trails we have stayed at. The park is slathered across a hillside and nothing is walkable. Even the bathrooms were a quarter mile away up hill, and we weren't the farthest site from them. There is no cell service and their park wifi is horribly unreliable. The sites are not flat and most do not have full hookups. They advertise how great the views are, but the brush has grown up to where you can't see the ocean hardly anywhere. The nearest towns are 20 miles in either direction. The indoor pool was nice, except for the missing roof section, but the hot tub is outside. The list goes on and on.

I am a member here and wanted to share some pros and cons of this experience, particularly the pacific city campground. Most of my issues are with the corporate structure company and horrible guests. I have not had issue with the individuals working here and they are all really helpful.Pros:-mostly private campsites-water and electricity readily available (less -sewer sites and they aren’t as nice)-24 hour bathrooms-laundry (only open for 6 hours in winter)-hot tub (only open for 6 hours in winter)-dump on site-great spot for pets-excellent landscaping /trailsDepending on the plan you get you can camp for various amounts of time (1-3 weeks) before you have to spend a week away. We live full time in an RV and the privacy and location are really beautiful. The people who work here are really great and also live on site. This is a super affordable option.Cons:-sites not flat (real hard without auto leveling)-when there is an issue there is not a clear structure of hierarchy to complain and follow up (laundry and hot hot both broken once for a week)-Getting member services online is challenging (their website is not well organized and doesn’t have good menus) and when you call you sometimes get a call back. We have also just gotten a dead end line with no way to leave a message. We have had to call numerous times usually to get someone to help.My main issue: SAFETYTo complain about safety issues or concerns there is no clear place to do it. The online complaint form won’t submit from either of my computers or my phone and gives a redirection error. There is no place in person to submit complaints. Most of my complaints have been about other guests, not about the services or staff. I wish there was a way to easily resolve disputes.Side note: campers here this week tried to attack someone in a bathroom because they perceived them as using the wrong bathroom. There was no action taken from thousand trails. I tried to call, post a complaint form and talked to the ranger. I would caution anyone with expressive gender to be alert. There are no family or gender neutral bathrooms available FYI. There is also no conflict resolution without police as no one is available after 6 pm to help you until 10 am the next day. I personally have never had an experience like that in Oregon. These were out of state visitors, so police wouldn’t really be helpful.

They have totally screwed everything up! They are trying to say that 90% of us asked for assigned campsites!! Now they stick you wherever they want to and if you don't like it you are free to leave!! The bulk of us have paid a pretty penny for this membership and we are now being treated like crap because they want to save the best sites for public instead of for members!!
