★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Beautiful campground. Quiet and peaceful, respectful campers. Clean bathrooms, bear boxes at every site, firewood for sale. No cell service, so plan ahead. Camp host was super friendly and welcoming. Moose came through the camp one night, which was awesome to see.
June 08 · Melinda MileyI love this campground! Looking forward to the next 4 days. We've been told there is a mama bear with 2 cubs (brown bear) and also moose. We've already seen the moose and some deer but not in the campsites, just done the road.
May 27 · Marie CramerThe campground itself was beautiful and very spacious. We had no service which was totally fine as it gave us a chance to step back from social media. The host and his wife were very friendly up until we knocked on their door at about 10pm because me and my group of friends felt unsafe as a neighboring camper had followed us from a local town the day before and was acting weird along with staring at us. He completely brushed us off and invalidated our fears. We immediately packed up and left 3 days early as we felt 100% unsafe with the strange camper next to us and the host who practically ignored us when we had an issue.
June 01 · Samantha “Sam” CunninghamLovely campground by trailhead - 16 sites, 13/14/15 in open, several in forest/shade. Level sites with picnic table, fire pit. Spotless pit toilets (very clean, must be new). Lovely hosts. Highly recommend. Some dispersed sites along the gravel road if CG full or you don’t want to pay.
August 27 · Di RogeI stayed at site #7 and the rate is $12 a night without hookup. Very reasonable, especially because of the quality of this campground. It's worth going farther down road to this one. There were many sites that can accommodate tents and RVs with hookups - all have a bear box, fire ring, picnic table, and grill that can hold charcoal or wood. There are bathrooms and trash receptacles, and $6 bundles of wood. Dogs are allowed, leash is required. This campground has access to many trails, and parking areas along the road. Also has access to running water, both natural and by spigot within the grounds. Soothing atmosphere with the sound of water and being surrounded by beautiful trees, however there are sites that are more open as well. The trees definitely provide a feeling of separation from your neighbors. The campground manager is very pleasant, and the bathrooms are some of the cleanest I've seen at any campground. A highly suggested spot to camp right behind the Grand Tetons, hence Teton Canyon name. I saw a waterfall after some rain during my stay in June, and there are so many beautiful sights. The road is manageable for most vehicles, just drive slowly and navigate around the deeper points in the dirt road. No 4x4 required. You have to drive through Alta to get to this location, and very easy to drive up into Yellowstone from this location as well as over to the other side of the Tetons. Definitely, definitely recommend!!
