Tannery Gulch Campground Reviews
Beautiful and quiet camping area. We went 6/6/25-6/10/25 and the campgrounds were fairly empty. There are no showers at this site but 5 miles down the road at Bushy Tail are coin op showers. Tannery is heavily wooded and walkable to the lake. I suggest sites sites 56-61 if you want to be closest to the lake. There are multiple bathrooms across the campgrounds, some flush and some are dry toilet outhouse style. There was a bear box on our site so we could lock up food every night. We didn't encounter any bears or mountain lions but there was a mountain lion spotting there just two weeks prior so be alert. We had some deer visit us in the middle of the night so be prepared for night visits! All in all this campground was very nice and peaceful, we absolutely would come back here!
Jun 15, 2025 · Jenny DaltonThe campground is nice and quiet, there's no showers but there's water faucets. Lake was almost dry so there was no place to swim and no cellphone service at all, but the campground is very nice.
Aug 15, 2021 · Sandoval MGThe sites and bathrooms are clean, and there are plenty of shade trees, but roadways are narrow.
Jul 05, 2023 · Michelle CardonaWell maintained campground with an experienced host (ess). She allowed us to change when a noisy group arrived nearby and the bathrooms are well kept up. Sites near water are best, 69 is a first come first served. The lake is crazy low!
