Honestly it was awful. They took out all the trees in the area designated to day use people so it is in the direct sun the entire time no shade and it is $2.50 a person for all ages so our 4 month old we had to pay for that didn’t even touch the rocks or water he literally sat in the basinet in the sun and we had to pay for that I understand charging for a certain age up but for infants that’s kinda crazy. We just expected better for what we paid I guess… - Brittany Nicole

For locals across Arkansas, finding a campground that blends essential amenities with a genuine connection to nature and nearby attractions is key. Sylamore Creek Camp is strategically situated just a few miles north of Mountain View, known as the "Folk Music Capital of the World," and conveniently close to natural wonders like Blanchard Springs Caverns. This makes it an ideal hub for exploring the diverse recreational and cultural offerings that make the Arkansas Ozarks so special.

Situated just 5 miles north of the charming town of Mountain View and 7 miles from the renowned Blanchard Springs Caverns, this camp offers a range of accommodations to suit different preferences, including RV sites, tent sites, and cozy cabins. It aims to be a comprehensive hub for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Ozark National Forest.

The camp boasts a variety of site types, from full hook-up RV sites (including options for big rigs) to waterfront water and electric sites for smaller campers and tents, and even primitive tent sites. Beyond camping, Sylamore Creek Camp provides facilities such as an indoor Recreation Room with ping-pong and pool tables, a big-screen TV, and an Exercise Room, making it a potential venue for family reunions and group gatherings.

While the camp's marketing highlights its prime location and amenities, some customer reviews indicate a varied experience. Feedback touches upon aspects like pricing for day use (including infants), the clarity of information (e.g., honor system vs. required payment), and the condition of some facilities like showers. Despite these points of concern, the camp's direct access to Sylamore Creek for swimming and fishing, and its proximity to the White River for trout fishing, remain strong draws. It is important for prospective visitors to consider the "rustic" nature of some facilities and the specific rules and pricing structures when planning their stay.
