Sugar Creek Campground & Canoe Rentals Reviews
I was looking for a nice place to take my kids camping. My friend at work recommended sugar creek so I booked a cabin and we made the 2 hour drive. We got back this afternoon and it has been our best mini vacation trip ever. The people here are so nice and helpful. When we checked in the guy came up on his golf cart and gave my son a tour around and told him about the types of fish they have in the creek. My son was in heaven the whole trip. He caught his first cat fish and was super excited about that.We had bonfires, made smores, cooked out, did all the camping stuff. We even had a little projector we used at night time and watched movies on the cabin wall.My kids, and I all had so much fun and can’t wait to go back soon.
Jul 02, 2025 · James SThis is a great campground with wonderful staff! The campground is clean and the bath house is the nicest we have seen. We did primitive camping on site 10. It was a large site with nice shade. Only downfall was it was extremely muddy, no grass. We had planned to bring our dogs and I’m so glad we didn’t because they would have been covered in mud. (There had been recent rain and it did rain while we were there). It would be nice for there to be gravel in the primitive area where you drive. Overall, we had a great time and will be back, just at a different site that has some grass.

Jun 29, 2025 · George P. Mosinski IIIAs you can tell from the pictures, we do this often. We reserve online 24 hours before print our wavier, and it's super fast. Always a smiling face. Even the kids that work so hard to make everything run smoothly. They do shut down the excursions when the water is unsafe. They always want us to to return safely.I've yet to camp, but I've got a spot booked. From the walk back to the car from the creek, the spots look beautiful. Tucked up in the trees, some of them on the creek. That's the one I personally picked. You won't be disappointed with the water excursion. I can promise you that.
Jun 23, 2024 · Rachel DawesThis was a great campground. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful campsite by the creek. It is very convenient to town if you need anything. The cabins looked really cute but we didn't stay in those.
