Spring River Oak Campground is conveniently located at 1868 River Oaks Trail, Mammoth Spring, AR 72554, USA. Mammoth Spring is a well-known gateway to outdoor recreation in Arkansas, situated right on the border with Missouri and famous for its namesake, Mammoth Spring State Park, home to one of the world's largest springs. For Arkansas locals, reaching the campground involves a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of northern Arkansas. While the campground boasts a secluded, "on the water" feel, it's typically accessible by vehicle. It's noted that the road to the campground can sometimes be a bit rough (a dirt and gravel road for about 3 miles off the highway), so visitors should be prepared for that. However, this contributes to the sense of getting away from it all and immerses you more deeply in the natural setting. Despite being somewhat off the main thoroughfare, its location still provides relatively easy access for many residents across the state, making it a viable option for weekend getaways or longer vacations. The drive itself sets the tone for an adventurous retreat, leading you to a spot where the Spring River is literally at your doorstep. Directions often suggest turning off Highway 63 at the Many Island sign and taking River Oaks Trail, emphasizing caution with other impassable roads.

Spring River Oak Campground Reviews
Stayed at this campground for 2 nights. We were put in campsite #31. The site itself was in a great location on the water where the kids could get right in and out at. Wasn't in a deep spot either. However the campsite was very very muddy and alot of sharp huge rocks. There wasn't any option to where to position our tents. The very big issue was how far away the bathrooms are. We had to drive every time any of us needed to use bathroom. Also the bathrooms do NOT provide any warm water at all and you are taking a freezing cold shower the whole time. The showers, toilets, and sink are all in the same room with no dry place to put your clean dry clothes and towel or to even get dressed in your dry clothes because the floor is completely soaked from the showers. It was also very expensive for 2 nights of tent camping. I paid $145 for 4 adults .
Jun 16, 2025 · Jessica ForesterNice very well maintained campground!!! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice grassy spots right by the river. Bathhouse clean and convenient.
May 10, 2025 · DAVID EISENBARTHSo rude. No music allowed. QUICK to kick you out for nothing. Even if its 2 am.
Jun 30, 2025 · Makayla CobleDO YOU LIKE SLEEPING ON A TRAIN TRACK?? THIS IS WHAT IT WAS LIKE! Our entire tent shook. You had to yell at the person next to you as the trains passed. If you are an all night train system flying through your tent, vibrating your teeth, clanking cars and letting out the air brakes, kind of person this place is for you. Otherwise a peaceful sleep is not in the cards! We'll sleep in a wind tunnel before camping here again. Lots 58, 57 and 20. The float was great, bathrooms were cleanish.
Jul 08, 2024 · brian gelpiTook a last minute trip on Mothers Day weekend to a mostly vacant campground and as many know this doesn’t happen often . Enjoyed River side accommodations and views . We had amazing Northern Lights views from out in the middle of the campground and with no one there the light pollution was low . Took a shuttle up to Dam 3 and floated back to our site , Hot Showers and Bathrooms on site .Caught many trout and fried some up for tacos .. Electric and water hookups .
