This is a place where the water's edge is your front door, and the magnificent views of the lake and surrounding forests are your constant companions. It's a fantastic spot for a range of activities, from peaceful lakeside lounging to active adventures like hiking and fishing. Known for its clean facilities and beautiful setting, it’s a favorite among locals and visitors alike who are looking for a genuine outdoor retreat. The campground's charm lies in its simplicity, focusing on the breathtaking natural environment rather than extensive amenities.
The layout of the campground is unique, with some sites offering a wide-open feel and direct water access, while others are more secluded and tucked into the woods. This variety allows campers to choose the spot that best suits their needs, whether they desire an unobstructed view of the lake or a more private, shaded area. It's a true gem for families, with shallow, warm water that's perfect for kids to play in and an abundance of crawdads to catch. While the mosquitoes and flies can be a force to be reckoned with, as is often the case in Montana's wild spaces, the stunning location and memorable experiences make it well worth the effort to come prepared with repellent. Spring Creek is a must-visit for anyone who loves the great outdoors and wants to experience the best of what the West Yellowstone area has to offer.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Many lots on water. Very open in a few with no shade for a good chunk of the day. Others are tucked in nicely but not on the water so much. Vault toilets, trash cans, fire rings with grills and big bear boxes. Mosquitoes and flies are real though. Bring as much spray, sticks, zappers as you can... they are hungry! This side of the lake dead ends by the way about 6mi or so past this last campground.
July 28 · Kirk ChapmanGreat location! Camping is right next to the water which was a plus for the kids. The water is shallow for a ways out so was warm enough for a mid morning swim. They spent most of the time catching crawdads. I would advise that mid summer mosquitoes are in full force and deep woods repellent only works for about 15 mins. Bring your deet. Outhouses cleaned daily and within a few yards. Great views.
August 10 · Brianna ChapmanGreat campground with friendly hosts! We arrived in the early afternoon and were worried they'd be full since it's one of the few first come, first serve Campsites in Yellowstone. Thankfully there were still plenty of spaces to choose from. Good sized lots, some smaller than others and the bathroom was clean. They had water stations located around the Campsite as well.
September 08 · LizWe had a great 4 night stay. Fishing was awesome and the water temperature was fantastic for swimming.
August 14 · Brian ShirleyBeautiful campground. They just installed bear proof food lockers in every campsite to keep food secure. Thanks!
