Spring Canyon Campground Reviews
Only stayed one night. Reservation required. Couldn't find the green sheet to fill out and put in the spot. Spots were really close together and bathrooms were not clean. It was fairly easy to get to the beach and water area.
Jun 28, 2025 · Kayla Clinenice place to spend the day swimming. there are nice sandy beaches and clean restrooms. there is an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand.
Jun 25, 2025 · Andy TPDFDate of Tent Camping: 27/28Aug2024Tuesday and Wednesday.I stayed at Lower Loop #13. Water Spigot in the Men's Restroom Leaking, seems like it's been leaking for a while. There is no Campground Host, maybe provide better amenities or services for them to make it appealing for them to host the place. There are trees, but might not be over your tent site, so you might get sun exposure. Bring an awning to put over the picnic table. It can get hot during the summer days.No privacy, sites are pretty close to each other. This place is good if you need a place to stay while visiting the Grand Coulee Dam.The restrooms were clean and well stocked. The upper loops is like parking your car or tent under apartment covered carports. I would not stay at the upper loop and if you have an RV or a trailer, your rig might not fit under the car ports. Make sure you're certain of your RV size and length. The beach and swimming areas are very nice. The swim platform was 4 feet exposed from the water since the river is low.But you can still enjoy the beach. Good for family and kids. They have nice walking trails. The sign at the front says campground FULL but there are MANY open spots. Please remove the sign to give campers a chance to look for availability instead of giving that we're full impression. If you want the campground occupied, remove that FULL sign before someone else remove it for you.The views from the lower loop of the river is awesome. This place is nice for the views. The whole area is nice, just be ready to be next to your neighbor.Go visit Grand Coulee Visitor Center, go on a power plant tour and go watch the laser show at night.I will be back to stay if I am ever in the area.
Sep 09, 2024 · Manuel PampoApril 1st, 2024, for 6 days. Perfect peaceful stay. Great for fully contained boondockers. We were challenging ourselves in our little trailer how well we could manage on our limited supply of water, food, power management, etc . The camp was deserted except for a few harty folks who stayed a night or two. The weather was cool with occasional rain showers. Fishing was not great. However, for me not fishing for 20+ years, it didn't help. I was a bit rusty. A park ranger stopped by and said that even the folks with boats didn't have much luck either. He complemented us on our trailer and said that he was getting one like ours in May. It was also nice to have Grand Coulee so close that we were able to go purchase a few things we decided we wanted for our meals. We had a very quiet, cozy stay in our little trailer. We hope to go again this fall. So we hope to see you boondockers out there. In one of my photos, we caught Bigfoot peeking at us.😁
Sep 25, 2024 · Perry RothThis is an amazing campground to swim at! Ample beach access with lots of picnic tables and shade from the trees. However, due to the location, like the name suggests, its on a hill side and from the parking lot to the beach- its pretty steep in areas, use the stairs provided. Great dock to jump off of when the water is high. The park has some bbq grills and one large covered pergola with a grill near the restrooms for larger parties. A very small play structure is also here.I knocked down a star because the "wheel chair access"/ wagon access to the grass towards the beach is very steep. If in a wheel chair you would definitely need someone there to spot you to make sure you don't tip over. Also, the bathrooms are a bit far from the beach but then again, I get it, the location of the park limits locations of bathrooms.
