What is worth choosing
Choosing a place to stay, especially when you're looking for an escape, is a decision that often comes down to personal preference and expectations. Slice of Heaven is worth considering for a few key reasons. First and foremost, its greatest asset is the tranquil environment it provides. In a world full of constant noise and stimulation, finding a spot that promises quiet and peacefulness is a valuable find. The beautiful sunrises and sunsets, as noted by visitors, are a testament to the serene natural setting. This makes it an ideal destination for those who simply want to relax, read a book, or enjoy the simplicity of a quiet evening under the Texas sky.
Secondly, the potential for a warm and friendly reception from the landlord is a significant draw. A positive personal interaction can make all the difference in a travel experience. One review highlights the landlord as "the nicest person you could ever meet," which speaks to a level of hospitality that is highly valued. For campers and lodgers who appreciate a personal touch and a welcoming atmosphere, this aspect of Slice of Heaven could be a primary reason to choose it over a more corporate or impersonal campground. The fact that it is a family-friendly location also adds to its appeal, making it a good choice for those traveling with children who want a safe and low-key place to stay.
However, it is also important to consider all available feedback to make an informed decision. Some reviews point to potential issues with amenities, such as electrical breakers and water quality, as well as a less-than-positive interaction with the owner. This suggests that the experience can vary. For those who prioritize reliable, high-end facilities and guaranteed service standards, it might be wise to inquire about specific site conditions before booking. The "Slice of Heaven" name appears to be more about the peaceful and natural surroundings than a full-service resort experience.
In summary, if you are a Texas resident or visitor looking for a no-frills, peaceful, and quiet place to park your RV or stay for a bit, and you value a simple, serene setting and the potential for friendly hospitality, Slice of Heaven in Baytown could be an excellent choice for you. It's a place that offers a genuine break from the city, inviting you to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty around you. Its appeal lies in its promise of simplicity and the quiet moments it offers, making it a viable option for a range of travelers seeking a different kind of escape.

September 09 · Shanna ByrdI don’t recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemies. The owner was very rude and didn’t care that she did not meet our standards considering what we paid to park our camper there. Anyway your breaker will constantly flip the water is muddy and don’t forget about the mean lady that runs the place.
