Silver Thread Basecamp Reviews
Absolutely loved our stay! The campground was spotless, and the riverfront spots were beautiful. The hosts—Ron, Liz, David, and his wife—were fantastic. While we were out, we had a water issue and David went above and beyond to fix it for us. Such a great experience overall—we’ve already booked our spot for next August!
Jul 07, 2025 · Melissa “Mo” PalmerOur camp host was awesome! He helped back us into the spot and updated us on bear sightings and even helped my husband unhook the tight sewer hose! The place is super clean and well maintained. Trees for shade, spot by river, great privacy
May 29, 2025 · Brenda LeeWe made reservations at silver threads a year ago in June and put down a 400 and something dollar deposit we came in today and we paid the rest of the months rent because we were going to stay a month and they did not have a spot big enough for us we have large trailers. They knew we had large trailers when we made the reservation. They could not accommodate us, but would not return our money so I am very, very angry and this place gets no stars from me and I don’t recommend anybody make a reservation there. This is a response to the owners response to me. Our trailer is 48 foot with a 10 foot porch, which they were quite well aware of when we made the reservation. The site they wanted to put us in was 40 feet long. You tell me how in the heck my trailer would’ve fit in a 40 footer. We might’ve got it in there, but we would be sticking out. We have a motorcycle and a truck and our porch which we like to let down so we can sit out and enjoy the views. We could not have done that. Also, we had reserved for a 50 amp and all that was was a 30 amp
Jul 05, 2025 · Rhonda DearVery nice campground which was situated nicely for our stay in the area. The staff were wonderful. Bathrooms and showers were clean and worked well. Electric, water and sewer hookups worked as they should. Would definitely camp here again.
May 20, 2025 · Deb DanielsMy friends & I made our reservations over 1 year ago, got here & the spots they reserved for us were too small, not 50 amp, not pull thurs, nothing like they told us in an email when we booked them. Then on top of that, they don't/didn't want 2 refund our deposit. The reservations were made by the owners granddaughter, apparently she doesn't know what she's doing because nothing was right. Now, here we are on the 4th of July week trying 2 find another camping spot. Thanks Silver Threads for nothing. Looked like a really nice park but recommend you verify you reservation a month or two before you just show up. Not a good way to run a business.
