we came, we saw grass, we leftokay but actually it was cooler than I imagined. reminded me of a safari. patches of trees among endless little hills of grass. all types too, it was fun identifying them - buckwheat, dog rose, valley oak... grass. Were those quaking aspens or paper birches? who knowsI think it's worth it to hike for a few minutes through herewhen you come, look for the trailheads. like "Sheyenne National Grassland East trailhead" simply navigating to the location for this park will take you to a town with some tractors and fields, but not really the grassland. you will need to go 8 minutes west for that.ask locals if you need help. there's 13 locals last I checked

May 28, 2020 · Odin WallaceHaven't explored most of the grasslands yet but there are few people out here, trails to hike, places to camp, and plenty to explore.
Mar 06, 2021 · Michael KruegerPeaceful beauty. Quiet and absent of major noise pollution. A great place to let your mind wander as you hike through wide open spaces.
Mar 19, 2023 · Schoeps “Schoeps Mid-Side” MSSo beautiful to walk in. Warning: do not follow Google maps to it though! It took me down some terrible roads for my Buick Me Sabre haha. Ask locals for directions! Really beautiful and worth it!
