Saxapahaw Campground Reviews
We had the best weekend camping! It was our first of hopefully many. Mike, the owner is incredibly nice and has really thought out the campgrounds. Out in nature but the nicest outdoor showers and restrooms I’ve ever seen at any campground. If you are not the tent type, there are other glamping options. The little touches like music around the hang out area, free ice and WiFi, were appreciated. We enjoyed being right by the river and kayaking around. Kids rode bikes and we all loved hiking the connected trails. Saturday we took a short trip into town for dinner and free music at Saturday’s in Saxapahaw!

Jun 06, 2025 · Julia GreenwoodThis is the nicest campground I’ve been to. The bathrooms and showers are so clean and nice. We stayed in the cabins and it was perfect and cost for our family.
May 25, 2025 · Jackson DockeryHad a wonderful time here! We were in town for a show at the Ballroom and needed a last minute place to stay. Mike was very quick to respond via phone and email, and super friendly and helpful, giving us some pointers and tips about the area. The cabin was cozy, the bathrooms were clean, and grounds were well maintained. I wish we'd had more time to hang out and have a drink at the canteen, or use the fire pit! We'll definitely be staying here next time we're in town.
