this is our 2nd year spending a couple weeks here in January. we absolutely love it and will be back next year for a longer stay. The walking path is paved and 4 miles into the swamp. there is also a couple miles of paved paths through the camping park for bikes and walkers. Kayaks and bikes to rent at a very reasonable price. pickle ball court and dog parks. picnic pavilions everywhere. the camping spots are large with full hook ups. right now it is $29 a night. you just cannot beat that price. close to lots of beautiful beaches with free parking and life guards. close to everything else you could possibly need. Great area. security locked gates at night. I like to go shelling and make things from my finds. there are lots of apple snail shells here. so I made a tree for the office, it's on the mantel. - Sue Bruckner

This unique blend contributes to its "Reserve" status by the Florida Legislature and makes it a fascinating place for ecological exploration.
