★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Don’t, just don’t.The lady that came and took my money seemed very friendly. I stayed here in October 2024 and I was the only one there which was nice.16 cars ( yes I counted) drove down to the river for what purpose I don’t know, but essentially circled around and shown their headlights and made noise until about midnight or one in the morning . This campsite is essentially is in the backyard of people from the town so to drive down to the river it takes about a minute and a half from where you live I would guess . One ATV even graced me with his presence four times with his loud muffler. It is quiet and peaceful other than cars from the town, and you’re right on the river pretty much. The spot is nice, but the sites are sort of hacked out of a stripper land by the river, even if the bathroom were clean, and there were no cars it would be fairly meh.Not only was it a heavy traffic area. The pit toilet bathroom wasn’t good enough for somebody so they used the floor. Didn’t look like anybody cleaned up in there in a while. Disgusting. There was no toilet paper. All the comforts of home, depending on where you live. For anyone who rides Motorcycle the smoky and the bandit bridge is a bit dodgy . Just a couple miles down the road from the campsite.
October 13 · Starlord StarlordmanClean and busy little boat ramp. Didn’t catch any fish but saw several non-venomous water snakes.
June 03 · Vanessa VanMatreA very clean park and a great way to access the Wabash River.
October 11 · Bret HobbsThe Purple Head Bridge (Cannon Ball historic wooden Bridge) that is in St Francisville also can be crossed for a small fee. You can go over to access the campground. Every year for Halloween there is a Haunted Trail Hay Ride for children. The whole community gets involved and is a BLAST A MUST GO!!! There is no fee for RV or Primitive camping however there is a donation box if you decide to do so. Great place to hunt artifacts, semi precious gemstones or geods. There are several small openings for caves to find and lots more.
September 23 · Karen MeltonSmall boat launch area to Wabash River. Fairly well kept. Toilet available to the hill.Watch out for Asian Carp while on the river. One in our party went home with a concussion!
