Rumney Rattlesnake Campground - American Alpine Club Reviews
Great place to camp when climbing in rumney. You can easily walk to the crag from there. It's basically across the street. It's an open field so you basically put your tent up wherever you want! The place wasn't too crowded.
Aug 25, 2024 · Francis St-AmourBunk beds house has everything you need and at a very affordable price. It has a full kitchen, cookware, fridge, dining area, big living room/common area, full bath and beds with beddings and pillows. Plus, walking distance to Rumney climbing area. Camp manager Chris is super friendly and has tons of knowledge of climbing.
May 23, 2023 · Joan ZhaoVery affordable campground, staff are friendly and let you leave your car there during the day while enjoying the excellent climbing (access is right across the road). Farm fresh eggs for 25c are available to buy, there are plenty of shaded camping areas and no designated spots. While there are no showers, there is a nice river with access from the campground and there are basin sinks for washing cookware. Definitely will be coming back.
Jun 17, 2019 · Izzy SchmittAlways a treat whenever I get to stay at the Rattlesnake campground. In past years, Rattlesnake has always been an honest and trustworthy place, and that seems especially so this year. The campground itself was well maintained, they offer bathrooms for campers, potable water is available within the barn at any time, as well as Wi-Fi, and you can even get some cold brew in the office! After speaking with the campground manager, and hearing about future ideas and contributions to this already homey campground, I couldn't help but imagine what this place is going to be like in a couple more years. With how welcoming other campers are, a beautiful beach on site, being right next to the crags, you'll be in good hands at Rattlesnake.
Aug 02, 2022 · Arion AghaieSuper great campground. Unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. Within walking distance from the crag and it was awesome to jump in the river after a long day climbing! You can tell the folks who work here put great effort into supporting the climbing community.
