Rocky Top Campground & RV Park Reviews
The grounds are nice, I liked the area. The office staff is great, they don't really get back to you when they say they will ( I asked if they had any reflective tape to help keep the birds from attacking our windows, and I asked if we could move to a different site, and they never got back to me), but super sweet and smiley. The sites are not all level. The bathrooms and laundry are not the cleanest, it's do-able but could be much better (especially the laundry room) you have to clean the machines to use them and they're a bit overpriced. The owner (Jamie?? James??) is kind of rude, he was very short and snippy me about moving my rig farther back into the site, when the office said I was fine where I was parked (yes, I ended up moving it back 3ft).They send to only enforce rules with some people? I couldn't have my dog fence up, but for some reason my 2 neighbors had fences up without issue... The grounds people left a bag of yard waste in my site for almost 24hrs. There's dog poop in grassy area that nobody cleans up. The dog park is pure dirt (mud when it rains) so not very usable.I've certainly stayed in worse places, but I can't recommend this place.
Apr 26, 2025 · StephanieWe originally booked this place because of the pricing and we were excited to stay in a camper. Upon arrival, the site we booked had someone else’s stuff in it.(food, medication, laptop, dirty dishes!!). Turns out, they moved us to an apartment with out notifying us at all! We were not informed of this until we called inquiring about our camper. They told us the camper didn’t have AC so they moved us to an apartment. Then they told us that they moved the people in the next door camper to our camper because theirs didn’t have AC. Total fumble on their part for the lack of communication. We were okay with the apartment until we went in and it was 80 degrees inside. We turned the AC on and gave it a chance to cool down but it was still too hot to comfortably sleep. We asked for a refund and they had an excuse for every thing I said. They have total lack of compassion for their customers with their insane policies. Take your business elsewhere, you WILL be disappointed with your stay here. We left with a loss of our stay and a never to return customer. Lack of empathy and compassion will kill their business, just give it time. :)
Jun 29, 2025 · Rachel BairdWe were traveling in town to visit Bristol Speedway. We ended up choosing this campground because it felt most “woodsy”. We ended up loving our stay! Our campsite felt private and large enough. We chose the bath houses over our camper because they were so clean and nice! We felt like the only people there all weekend because it was just so quiet and peaceful. The WiFi provided worked fantastic all weekend. We very much enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Apr 13, 2025 · Jenna SmithVery nice campground. Clean, quiet, easy to find. Nice camp store with all the basics. Friendly staff! Will definitely return when we are in the area!
Jul 03, 2025 · Susan NearThey were very helpful getting me a spot in the holiday weekend. When I arrived she showed me our spot which was very helpful. The park is very clean and the pull through was easy in and easy out. I would stop there again.
