Rifrafters Campground Reviews
Very clean and nice area!! I was worried that we may hear traffic from nearby roads but it was quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the cabin and it was very clean and cozy. Perfect for a tranquil weekend. The shower facilities were amazing after a day of hiking and driving (very clean too!). The proximity to Fayetteville and New River Gorge was perfect. Would highly recommend this spot for your next trip. Peaches is a great guard cat 🐱
Jun 12, 2025 · BexSmall campground near the New River Gorge. Stayed one night on our way up north. Sites are pretty close together near the one bathhouse, which is nice and very clean. We were in site 33 which meant a walk to the bathhouse. But the sites are scenic. Very quiet.
May 30, 2025 · Sue DavisGreat place for dogs! Absolutely loved the pond and outback loops and welcome sight after a long drive to stretch yours and your furry companions legs. For dog lovers this place is a gem because you can get some steps in with tons of sniffing opportunities in nature. The dog park is usable now but under construction and will be welcome enhancement too. Wish there were public trash receptacles around the property in addition to dumpster to make picking up after your pet much more convenient. Our lot was great and the park overall nice and clean although we didn't need use of public facilities they were available. I always wish for more privacy but this campground a great choice overall.
Apr 28, 2025 · Shannon Van DenbroekWe just pulled in yesterday. We were welcomed and brought to our site. Clean, quiet and lovely campground. There's a small pond you can walk to which is a 1/2 mile loop and a longer loop trail as well. They are putting new sites in and it's nice seeing them working on making this park bigger. Did not check out the other facilities (bath house and laundry) because we have our own onboard. There are quite a few really cute cabins as well and plenty of tent sites. Something for everyone. Our big rig fit perfectly in site 3 with plenty of beautiful trees.New River Gorge National Park is only a couple of miles away which is why we wanted to stay here and very glad we did.Looking forward to our week here.
Apr 18, 2025 · Karen FlahiveWhat a great place! Looks just like the pictures. Staff is helpful, bathrooms are clean. We stayed in the Mountaineers cabin and the details were terrific. Little shelves by outlets to charge devices, ceiling fans, lights above bed to turn on and off without getting out of bed. Wish we could have stayed longer!
