Redwood Coast Cabins and RV Resort Reviews
Such a missed opportunity. If this campground was well run/staffed would easily be 4-5 stars. Spent 5 days here during a family reunion. Cabins weren’t nearly as clean as they should have been. Thick coat of dust and spider webs under all the beds. Dog hair all over the blanket in one of the cabins (which makes you worry about the cleanliness of other linens). Pool was dirty and hot tub filthy, water completely the wrong color. Lots of long term residents which leads to a very different vibe vs families camping for the weekend. Homeless people doing their laundry in the bathrooms at 3am. Sprinklers started in an area and then forgotten about by staff for 24 hours, flooding the grass and surrounding area.Worst of all, the communal bathrooms weren’t cleaned THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE!!! At one point 2/3 toilets in the men’s were clogged/destroyed and ignored for days. My brother plunged them and we told the office staff about the issues, they ignored this. Several days later they still hadn’t cleaned or restocked. Out of paper towels for 4/5 days. The entire family cringed every time they had to use the bathroom. Felt dirtier after showers than before. Busy campground bathrooms like this should be cleaned daily.Payed extra for tables, chairs and a grill to use for our gathering. All of this was very dirty as well. The bright sides? Laundry room was decent and kids enjoyed the playground.Won’t stay here again, and can’t recommend it to anyone else.
Jul 07, 2025 · Robert HaltermanI have stayed at this campground three times in the past 13 months: once in a rustic cabin, once in a vehicle site, once in a tent site. The campground is cute, clean, in a great location for access to nearby towns, and the campers follow the quiet time policy well. Prices seem fair considering the overall pleasantness of the campground. The one complaint I have is that the women's bathroom was out of hand soap in one dispenser, and the other dispenser did not work, for the past two weekend visits. Additionally, the bathroom appeared to have not been cleaned during my entire stay--garbage was overflowing, toilet paper running out, general cleanliness thoroughly lacking. The bathroom is heated with good lighting, and generally in good appearance. I appreciate access to a real bathroom with showers. I simply wish it was cleaned more regularly and stocked properly, especially since the bathroom is one of the reasons I have chosen this campground.
Jun 17, 2025 · Joy DavisThis place is amazing! You definitely get what you pay for.My partner and I had stayed for about a week back in December to get ready for our baby girl, Jen and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. There are not many safe places around eureka to van camp, usually we find some free campsites but there really isn't much in the area that seem safe enough to do so. We started with a car campsite which you have electric hook ups and fresh water spigot. Very peaceful place and our two dogs were welcome, we were off season so not many people at all. They even have a small dog area to let them off the leash and run a bit. We couldn't help but notice the adorable cabins they have, so we inquired and have stayed a few nights in the simpler ones. For being away from home for so long the cabins were very comfortable and warm. The heaters in there work amazingly!!Showers are hot, laundry is the cheapest anywhere between eureka and crescent city.We enjoyed ourselves so much we make it a point to stay here every time we have a doctor's appointment. It is a bit more expensive than most places but I guarantee you it is well worth it. And it's much cheaper than even the motel 6. And much safer.I highly recommend Redwood Coastal Cabins and RV park. Jen again is wonderful and so isn't the staff. It's our home away from home.🖤✌️🔥 Also there cute gift shop is fantasist! So go check them out. !!!!!!! What are you waiting for lol
May 12, 2025 · Ashley M.KlopMisleading room advertisements. A DELIXE FAMILY SUITE is nothing more than a basic KOA cabin ROOM with only 1 small bed. When we arrived at the office, I was asked for my name then handed a sealed envelope with a smile. I asked the “front desk girl” if she could guide me on where I’m going, and she said “open the envelope.”So, without any communication, I figured it out on my own.Once we unloaded the FAMILY into our tiny 1 room, we searched for a bathroom.Only 1 bathroom building appeared to be on site. -( wouldn’t know who to ask, if I wanted to ask, since the front desk girl couldn’t even greet me.). If you’re still with me on this post… these photos are current conditions of the lovely public bathroom and shower. We’ve booked several days here. This is grounds for legal…
Jul 07, 2025 · erin rahillyI ran across this place while I had an unexpected extended stay in Humboldt. The location is great. The staff is amazing. It's been quiet and comfortable. It's also close to both Eureka and Arcata. I had no idea the quality of the dining experiences available in Arcata. I'll definitely be back again!
