Jun 27, 2025 · Debbie AndersonMe and my brother took our boys to Red Top Mountain for the weekend. We stayed in a cabin which was extremely nice. We grilled steaks, burgers and hotdogs. The boys enjoyed making s’mores on the fire pit. Fishing was awesome! Caught my first bluegill. We’re definitely planning on making this a yearly trip. We’re thinking of renting a boat next year.
Jun 21, 2025 · Deane FraserWonderful campground. Facilities are clean and hosts are really nice. Pictures on GA state parks website are not up to date. There is a good chance you will get here and not have the site you think you booked. Currently a pine beetle infestation in they are trying to handle so lots of dead and downed pine trees and brush piles. Some sites are very close to these piles. In the winter this doesn’t matter (best time to be here anyway) but in the summer I can imagine this is a critter issue. Over all great campground with great trails within walking distance.
Feb 23, 2025 · Luke SimmonsCan’t say enough about this campground and was a pleasure to return back since I haven’t been there since the early 90s. This campground is so well run, clean, friendly…everything you would want. From checkIn with the super nice staff to the park team with a friendly wave for their daily duty. I stayed in site #14 as it looked the most private and last minute booking only had a few options left. If I had to ding Red Top campground on anything, it would be to please put more stones on some of the sites…where I set up my tent, it was becoming more dirt than rocks which made my tent a bit of a mess for two nights. Just more investment is needed here.
Apr 27, 2025 · Peter BrusaGorgeous campground with huge sites on the water, clean modern bathrooms-showers. Beautiful well marked trails with lake access. Definite return trip in our future.
