Would of been 5 star but the volunteer who goes around and busts chops ruined it. First he said i couldnt park in grass, which i was trying to move my truck to protect it from the 50 acorns an hour falling, then it was a miscommunication on their pet policy. We have 3 dogs, the website you are redirected to, Reserve America it doesn't give a pet limit, however it does state that on DCNR website that you are only allowed 2 pets per site. The only way they would accommodate it was either take 1 pet over an hour away home (at 7pm), board them down the road, or they bribed me to buy an additional site and it would all go away. That being said, full hookup sites are brand new and very well taken care of. - Ryan N

Promotions or Special Offers

As a campground managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) within a state park, Pymatuning State Park - Tuttle Point Campground Office operates under established state park pricing and reservation policies rather than offering frequent commercial-style promotions. However, there are inherent value benefits and specific booking considerations for campers:

  • Booking Window: Campsites at Pennsylvania State Parks, including Tuttle Point, can generally be reserved up to 11 months in advance. This advance booking capability is crucial, especially for securing prime full hookup sites or popular dates during peak season (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend), as sites tend to fill up quickly.

  • Senior Citizen and Disability Discounts: The DCNR offers discounts on base campsite fees for senior citizens (62 years of age or older) upon showing proof of age, and a specific discount ($4.50) for individuals with a disability upon request. These are significant savings for eligible Pennsylvanians.

  • Off-Peak Season Rates: While not a "promotion," camping fees are typically reduced during the off-peak season (outside of Memorial Day to Labor Day). During this time, some services like water hookups at individual sites might be unavailable due to winterization, but the reduced rates make it an attractive option for those who enjoy cooler weather camping.

  • Extended Stays: During the summer season, campers can stay for up to 14 consecutive nights, and up to 21 consecutive nights during the remainder of the year, offering flexibility for longer vacations.

To confirm the most current rates, availability, and specific policies (including the pet policy which can vary and is subject to DCNR rules), it is always best to visit the official Pennsylvania DCNR website for Pymatuning State Park or contact the park office directly. Utilizing the Reserve America platform, linked through the DCNR site, is the primary method for making reservations.
