★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1In southeastern Texas, the desert stretches vast, a canvas where the elements paint abstract whispers of existence. Here, sands sing under expansive skies, and cacti stand as stoic guardians of resilience. The horizon bends, merging earth with the infinite blue, challenging the very notion of borders drawn by human hands. This arid expanse holds a beauty stark and profound, echoing the ancient whispers of time. It speaks in patterns of light and shadow, in the dance of sunlit dunes and the cool embrace of starlit nights. This landscape, relentless and wild, transcends the lines that claim to define it, offering a timeless testament to the enduring allure of the natural world.
April 15 · Timothy Wilson-DouglasThis is a nice place you can visit to camp!! Go a head and get the Franklin mountain experience!! I completely recommend. Get out of the noise my city!!
February 07 · gerardo couohTake the hike. Very nice views. Take plenty water. You’ll enjoy this hike!
November 18 · Diana MariaWhat can I say; your in a state park right in the city limits of El Paso TX. Yet it feels like being hundreds of miles away from from civilization. This particular area does get busy on weekends and holidays, but there is many great picnic areas with great views and with plenty of space between them so you never feel like your crowded. There is "no flush" toilets nearby with toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and sanitizer. There is one trailhead nearby called Schafers shuffle. Its about a 4 mile loop across beautiful rugged terrain with awesome views of the city around the park and other parts of the mountain. Take plenty of water!
March 05 · Brian AlvarezThis place is awesome! Great trails and tons of fun!!
