Promotions or Special Offers
As a municipal campground operated by the City of Newport, Prouty Beach Campground generally operates under a set fee schedule rather than frequent, fluctuating promotions like private businesses. However, for us Vermonters, there are inherent advantages to using a public facility, and it's always worth checking for any specific seasonal rates or package deals.
Typically, pricing for campsites at Prouty Beach will be standardized, with rates likely varying based on the type of site (e.g., tent, RV with hookups) and the season. While a specific "promotion" might not be advertised with a discount code, some public campgrounds offer lower rates for extended stays (e.g., weekly rates) compared to nightly rates. Additionally, some towns might have specific programs for their residents, though this is less common for state or municipal parks open to the public.
For the most accurate and current information on camping rates, availability, and any potential offers for amenities like kayak rentals, it is always best to contact Prouty Beach Campground directly. They can provide details on their booking policy, seasonal operation dates for facilities (like restrooms opening from May to September), and any other relevant information. We recommend checking their official website, if available (often part of the City of Newport's website), or calling them directly for the most up-to-date details to plan your visit effectively.

Jun 14, 2024 · Moses WeberWe watched the Solar Eclipse from Prouty Beach. They have restroom facilities open from May to September. There are paved walking paths and plenty of free parking. The lake is so beautiful and the water looks very clean. We were there in April during the Eclipse because Newport VT was in the Totality zone. We were able to view the total eclipse for over 3 minutes without eye protection. It was an incredible experience and the lake view was Beautiful. Prouty Beach in Newport VT is on the Canadian border and most of the lake resides in Canada.
Apr 12, 2024 · Sonya WoodhamsI came here to watch the eclipse on 4/8/24, and it was absolutely unforgettable. Gorgeous location. I might return here to re-visit it, though another eclipse will never happen here again in our lifetime.
Jul 17, 2024 · steve dipernaWe booked early and were able to get one of the spots on the bluff overlooking Lake Memphremagog and Downtown Newport. There is a beach nearby and also some easy walking trails. We had a relaxing stay.
