Services Offered
Based on customer reviews, Powder Horn Campground offers a range of services designed primarily for long-term or permanent residents, distinguishing it from many transient recreational campgrounds:
- Monthly Rent for Sites: A key service is the availability of sites for rent at a monthly rate, explicitly mentioned as $400. This pricing structure suggests a focus on long-term stays rather than nightly or weekly camping.
- Utility Inclusions: The monthly rent of $400 notably includes both lights (electricity) and water, which is a significant advantage for long-term campers or residents, simplifying utility management.
- Camper Accommodation: The campground accommodates personal campers, allowing residents to bring their own RVs or travel trailers for their stay.
- Cabin Options: In addition to sites for personal campers, the campground also offers cabins, providing an alternative accommodation type for those who may not own a camper or prefer a more structured dwelling.
- Shower Facilities: There are dedicated facilities for taking showers, with a positive note on "long lasting hot water," indicating a reliable and comfortable amenity.
- Laundry Facilities: The presence of "a couple of washers and dryers" highlights a crucial service for long-term residents, allowing them to do laundry conveniently on-site.

Powder Horn Campground Reviews
Very bad, do not stay here! The David Crockett state park is just a few miles away and has to be nicer than this place. My husband paid 45,00 a night up front for 3 nights. No wifi, no TV, nothing but run down campers some with tarps over them. May be good if you are looking for full time but trust me..you don't want to stay here.
Apr 25, 2025 · Cathy DennyI'm currently a resident of permanent state. It's pretty quiet and laid back. No trouble and very little traffic. It's a great place to stay for however long you need. $400 for rent a month but there are cabins, you bring your own camper, lights and water included in the $400/month. Place to take showers with long lasting hot water and a couple of washers and dryers.
